If so, join us online this Thursday, July 25, at 7:30pm ET for a thought-provoking virtual conversation with Dr. Andre E. Johnson from the University of Memphis. Dr. Andre E. Johnson and Pastor Janae will explore "Religion and Social Movements." It promises to deepen our understanding of the current political climate and ignite further discussion. Hope you can make it out to the Fortville Summerfest 2024! We will be a first time vendor and our booth is located in the middle of the block on School Street, in front of the building. The event is 11am -10pm with fireworks at 10pm.

2024 Fortville Summerfest is almost upon us. Come see us Saturday from 11am until the fireworks. Music, Food, Crafts, and more! BE AWARE OF THE STREET CLOSURES NOTED: Staat St. between Main St. and Noel Lane, Church St. from Main St. to Veterans Ct., and the dead end of Church St. on the east side of Landmark Park. Please plan accordingly!

Help spread the word, Indianapolis children can get a head start on the upcoming school year thanks to a new initiative from the Mayor’s office. This program aims to support local families by providing essential school supplies.

The backpack giveaway is scheduled for July 21 from 1-3 p.m. at Brookside Elementary School, located at 3150 E. 10th St. The event will take place in the school's gymnasium and will feature a festive, community-oriented atmosphere.

Families attending the event will receive free snacks and drinks while collecting backpacks filled with school essentials. Each household is eligible to receive up to four backpacks for their elementary-aged children. It’s important to note that children must be present at the event to receive a backpack.

Additionally, there will be booths offering information about various community resources to help families stay informed and supported.
