Congratulations Tennis!
During our E-learning day yesterday, Biology teachers made "Elephant p**p" to go along with our Africa Unit. Students today are removing seeds from the p**p and from regular soil to see how being partially digested helps them grow. Students will then connect this to how seeds grow and what conditions are necessary for that growth.
Reminder: All Washington Township Schools are conducting an eLearning Day tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we are proud to highlight The Honorable Mario Garcia, a trailblazing alumnus whose journey from North Central High School to the judiciary embodies both excellence and dedication. Through our partnership school safety grant with the Central Indiana Education Service Center, NCHS was pleased to welcome Rachel’s Challenge to talk to students about school safety and the importance of instilling a culture of kindness and compassion in all teaching and learning spaces. Students participated in-person in the auditorium and virtually via Zoom, and a small group of student leaders were able to attend a private seminar with the Rachel’s Challenge presenter to discuss change in education and improving NCHS for future generations of Panthers! 🐾🖤❤️

Take a look behind the scenes at WTSF!
Our Foundation Fellows and North Central High School Black Student Union leaders are working together to bring an interrupting racism and anti-bias training opportunity to North Central students. Earlier this month, they met with Youth Against Racial Injustice (YARI) members to learn about training opportunities, and to brainstorm the best way to engage the North Central community.
A big thank you to our donors for making opportunities like this possible!
Stay tuned to see how they bring their work to fruition later this semester. Click the here to learn more about YARI: https://www.childadvocates.net/youth-against-racial-injustice/

On June 29, 2024, at the Ivy Tech Culinary and Conference Center, The Modern Apprenticeship Program operated by EmployIndy held their annual 2024 Signing Day event.
