June 19, 2024, marks the 159th anniversary of freeing the last enslaved African Americans in Texas.

In 2021, President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, S. 475, creating a federal holiday to commemorate Juneteenth. This holiday is the first federal holiday approved since Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 1983.

In observance of Juneteenth, INPRS's call centers are closed today.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

In observance of this holiday, INPRS will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrates the birthday of American civil rights leader, Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King. King dedicated his career and life to end racial discrimination under U.S law until he was assassinated in 1968. In remembrance and honor of his legacy, President Ronald Regan declared January 15 a federal holiday.

In observation of this holiday, INPRS will be closed Jan. 15, 2024 and reopen on Jan.16, 2024.
