It is with a saddened heart that I announce the passing of CGK3 Management artist Cyd Fredrick. He passed Saturday March 23, 2024.

I first heard of CYD back in 2015 when I saw a post he made about a show he was going to perform at. So I inboxed him and introduced myself letting him know I was an artist manager and have a management company. He explained to me how he had started off producing beats and had recently ventured into rapping. After discussing things and me listening to his music I told him I would come check out that show he was performing at.

After speaking with CYD I inboxed the promoter of that show and told him about my company and me being an artist manager and promoter. While talking with him he explained to me that he was the CEO of an independent record label out of Atlanta, GA. Which in turn gave me the upcoming opportunity to promote the show. Due to the local promoter flaking out last minute.

After watching CYD perform at that show I knew I needed to sign him! And not only did I sign him; he was invited to their next showcase in ATL. During that show I was asked to become the Midwest Artist Manager for the label. CYD and I went on to travel to shows hosted by the label.

Back here in Indianapolis CYD performed at several showcases hosted by CGK3 Management as well as other local shows. His catalog of music can be found on all streaming platforms. Our first project together was “Cruel Imagination” released March 2016. CYD continued to perfect his craft. From producing, engineering writing, performing and making his own music; CYD was making his impact in the music industry.

In July 2017 I had the opportunity to book CYD a show to open up for Young Dolph at Old National Centre

He even took interest in comedy and booked several shows showcasing his comedic talents. A few years back he started his own moving company; “Young Man’s Job Moving LLC”.

Although I always called him CYD his actual name is William. I credit him for unknowingly boosting my artist manager career. He was my friend, someone always ready to work, help or assist anyway he could. William was a companion to his girlfriend and mother of his two beautiful daughters. A family man indeed!

His presence here on earth will be tremendously missed. But to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. He will always be remembered by everyone who has known him, worked with or been around. He was truly a gentle giant.

Roc Da Mic: Invasion of the Indie Artists “Houston Edition

Roc Da Mic: Invasion of the Indie Artists is headed down south for its first ever “Houston Edition” Artist Showcase. For the past few years Roc Da Mic has been hosted at music venues in the Indianapolis area. This year its producer; Mr Los will be taking the show down south to Houston, Texas Saturday November 26 to Free Gallant located on the north side of Houston.
Artists will have the opportunity to pick from various performance packages.
