The tiered garden is finally starting to fill in but it was rough going for a couple years. Now I’m thinking we could’ve made it even bigger!! 😅

Late to the party, but that’s ok! We have a new set up for seed starting this year and I’m excited to see how it goes.
Flowers, herbs, onions, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and more are in these trays! And we have quite a few other things that are direct sow.
What are you planning to grow this year?

Success! The new strawberry patch took and is thriving! Hoping for some delicious berries this year 🤞

The garlic is looking excellent! We have a new variety this year -Iowa German White Porcelain- from the raised beds are only this year while we prep the yard and amend the soil for fall planting.

Garlic was put into a new bed for the winter and tucked away under some straw. It was pretty luxurious planting in the raised garden bed with such nice fluffy soil! We have a new type of garlic this year, an Iowa porcelain! 🧄

Introducing Cocoloco! Our new cat on the homestead. He’s been coming around for a couple months & decided he likes it here. He isn’t sheltering with our other cats at night but maybe when the weather turns cold he’ll change his tune.
He’s pretty. Pretty cuddly & pretty aggressive.

Strawflower bloom! This is my first year growing these and they are so pretty. The petals are dry and papery lending them to be good candidates for drying and preserving them to be enjoyed for an extended period.

This yarrow had a rough start but it’s come back strong and has some pretty blooms popping open!
