Energy Efficiency Services (EES)

I will be teaching a course on 2022 Electrical Code at Saddleback College (fall semester) starting on Monday 8/21/2023. This course prepares students to become certified electrical inspectors or plan checkers, or pursue a career with public and private agencies.

All classes meet the full semester (August 27–December 16) unless otherwise noted. New students need to first apply to the college online at www.sccollege.edu. The cost for California residents is $46 per unit (plus parking, health/student fees and texts). Students will be assigned a registration date via email. Register early for classes using our online registration system. Enrollment fees must be paid in full within three days of registration or students will be dropped.

During spring of 2012, professionals at EES will teach a course on the “Infrastructure Construction and Operations” with focus on growing role of the “Green” infrastructure. This course will develop a detailed understanding of several public infrastructures projects through planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance phases.
Different public infrastructure categories such as building facilities, transportation and transit systems and storm water, waste water and drinking water systems, sewer system, solid waste and pollutant management systems will be explored. Traditional approaches and new approaches on each infrastructure category construction and operations will be discussed and the trend towards Low Impact Development (LID) and its benefits will be introduced.
A special project that each student or group of students will develop based on their area of interest within the subject matter frame work is the final course assignment. This course is recommended to students pursuing a degree in public works and public administration and interested individuals who seek jobs in the public works arena.
