Upstanders in Anaheim At the recent Anaheim City Council meeting, Erik Ludwig, President & CEO of Jewish Federation of Orange County, delivered a compelling speech upon receiving a proclamation for Jewish American Heritage Month. His heartfelt words emphasized the crucial importance of standing together against all manifestations of hatred, particularly in light of the growing threat of antisemitism in our community. With the Jewish community bearing the brunt of religious-based animosity, Ludwig's address struck a chord, urging solidarity and action. This proclamation signifies a pledge to support and stand in unity with Orange County's Jewish population, denouncing all forms of prejudice.

Yael is a therapist who helps families who are grappling with trauma following the horrors of Oct. 7. Her program operates out of Beit Issie, with support from #JewishFederations, and offers emotional support, therapy and coping mechanisms for individuals with disabilities on their journey to recovery.
