Last week, Dr. Josué introduced us to the political term 'lobbying.' 🏛️ She laid the foundation of what lobbying is, where it originated, how it is used in politics, and how extremely influential and powerful being a lobbyist can be. 💼 At the end of the teaching, she helped us see, from a spiritual perspective, that lobbying is much like intercession and that being a lobbyist is very much like being a political intercessor. 🙏 Talk about coming full circle! 🔄

Shabbat Shalom! The Political Intercessors learning series continues tomorrow, Saturday, August 24th, at 10:30 AM CST.

Dr. Josué is truly expanding our mindset regarding intercession within the political arena. Last week, she challenged everyone to look beyond their personal lives here in the safety of America and to closely examine the devastation faced by people suffering through a climate of war. We should be praying for those who are suffering—the soldiers, families, and children—amid the massive deaths occurring worlds away while we sit in comfort. We are surely grateful to be Americans, but as political intercessors, we can demonstrate our awareness of those less fortunate than us by praying and interceding for their safety, as well as for their minds and hearts.

Remember, politics and war are nothing new (e.g., Ecclesiastes 1:9-10), and we can renew our minds and refocus our prayers to include more than just ourselves and our comfort.

The Political Intercessors learning series continues this Saturday, August 17th, at 2:00 PM CST for this Saturday only.

Last week, Dr. Josué continued teaching about the significance of political intercession and began showing us how governmental systems across the world mimic the governmental systems shown in scripture. She was able to draw parallel examples between today's governments and those found in scripture. Dr. Josué concluded last week's teaching by walking through how Yeshua himself navigated the governmental system of his time, which ultimately led to his ex*****on.

THE PRICE OF BEING A PASTOR

Being a Pastor is listed among the four most difficult professions in the United States
because a Pastor must be:
•Preacher
•Example
•Father
•Husband
•Counselor
•Conference caller
•Planner
•Minister
•Visionary
•Director
•Mentor
•Friend
•Reconciliator
•Marriage counselor
•Youth Counselor
•Leader's trainer
•Bible teacher
•Intercessor etc etc
Besides being:
•Keeper of the temple
•Cleaning staff

Every Pastor constantly confronts many different things, such as:

The Pastor doesn't visit me
Sermon was too long.
The music was too loud.
The building is too cold.
Etc....

One of the most difficult things in the life of a Pastor is to know that at some point the people they love will abandon or even betray them.

The Pastor is often the loneliest person in the congregation.

You may see a Pastor be surrounded by people, but very rarely people who are interested in their problems, needs or even in their lives.

If you have a Pastor as a friend take care of them, pray for them, connect with vision that God gave them, support them, but above all love them. Remember they are human and in the same way they go through the same needs as you.

Even if you don’t believe it, many of them have sacrificed comforts, rest, personal plans and so many things including some of their own family’s needs to attend God’s call.

Value the time a Pastor puts into work, the prayers he makes for everyone, the burden he voluntarily carries for ministry. You don't know how much he'd appreciate knowing you do.

Jeremiah 3:15
And I will give you shepherds according to my own heart, who shall lead them with knowledge and understanding.
