Hands down the best faculty! We are thankful for Mickie O'Donnell!

✨✨faculty spotlight✨✨ Mickie O’Donnell has been a professional church ministries educator since 1976 in the US, Scotland, and India. She is currently co-pastor of a new church plant, CrossRoad Bible Fellowship, in Beverly Hills, FL serving with two other “retired” pastors from different denominations. As President of Lord and King Associates, a Coaching and Consulting company, and after 42 years in children, youth, and family ministries, Mickie continues to be available to help churches improve their ministry, by providing training for more effective lay leadership and staff development, as well as encouraging healthy discipleship ministries for church growth. Mickie has a Doctorate of Divinity (MITS India), a Masters of Religious Education (TEDS, Deerfield, IL), and a Masters of Philosophy (Aberdeen University, Scotland). 

Mickie and her husband David love living in Florida where they can ride their Harleys all year. They are active members of The Christian Motorcyclists Association and love sharing the Gospel with Bikers from all walks of life. 

Mickie loves teaching with FIT because of the emphasis placed on developing relationships with students and being not just teachers, but mentors walking together in ministry and learning from each other. She is excited about being able to share her passion for BibleTelling as a powerful discipleship paradigm with FIT students who are willing to step into this new and creative ministry concept which brings people of all ages to a maturity of faith demonstrated in their actions. 

Congratulations to Rev. Nadia Stropich, who was recently installed at Paris Presbyterian Church in Burgettstown, PA. She has been their Transitional Pastor for the past year and a half and is now their called Pastor! We are so excited that she will continue her ministry at Paris. Pray for Nadia and this wonderful congregation as they serve and love the people in their community!

As part of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians Summer Mission Mentorship program, two of our partners (in Indonesia and Egypt) will host three young adults. These young men will serve alongside our partners as they engage least-reached peoples. We are so excited for the things that God will reveal to them through these experiences. Join us in praying for strong relationships to form, good health during the trip fruitful mentorships.

Join us in celebrating the ordination of Marcos Henry at First Pres Colorado Springs on May 19, 2024. Marcos started June 15th as the Assistant Pastor of Intergenerational Ministry at First Pres Amarillo Texas.

Every year, families and communities around North America are affected by disasters. World Renew seeks to be the hands and feet of Jesus by making a tangible impact and restoring hope in these communities. The impact from this work is even greater thanks to the dedication of our volunteers.

This fall, World Renew has volunteer openings for individual adults, couples, or church groups to help in areas affected by disasters. These one-week trips include home repair and cleanup projects that give vulnerable homeowners a chance to rebuild their lives. No matter your skillset, lending your time and talents as a volunteer with World Renew will have lasting reach.

Meet Tina, originally from Tucson, Arizona, but has lived in Scottsdale for the last 36 years where she and her husband of 32 years have raised their four children! She has spent the last 17 years in Children’s and Family ministry at Valley Presbyterian Church in Paradise Valley, AZ, and has recently taken on Women’s ministry as well. She loves teaching, leading teams, and watching God at work in the lives of those in our community!

Tina is pursuing the Master of Arts in Theology at FIT. She says, “being a student at FIT has exceeded my expectations. Over the years, I had felt called to pursue a seminary education, but it seemed to be an impossible pipe dream for many reasons. Many of my excuses were eliminated by FIT’s format and program, which values student’s ministry experience, and the way FIT has created community in the context of online education!”
