Bring your horse to school with you!
This past weekend, West Campus Stables and its members put together a back to school gymkhana and potluck to celebrate the start of the new school year! A variety of fun events were played on and off horseback followed by a delicious meal. Good luck this quarter and happy school year Gauchos!
The days may be starting to get shorter, but it’s hard to beat sunsets like these at the barn!
A nice midday snooze on this Sunday afternoon 🌞😴
Happy summer! Here’s to more sunny, warm weather and beach days! ☀️🌊🏝️

did you know that our owning members and student riders do all their own stable maintenance? it doesn’t feel like hard work when we’re doing it for our equine partners🩵
Meet the newest pony in town- Catalina🐴
A fun fact about Catalina is that she’s a Santa Cruz Island Horse, a breed that was originally located on our local Santa Cruz Island! The breed originally descended from Spanish Colonial horses that were introduced to the island, and are now bred in Thousand Oaks, CA in order to conserve the breed.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the horse (and other) moms out there today! Whether you’re there to ride, cart us around to shows, or even just hold the horse (even if you have no idea what you’re doing)- we love and appreciate you so much so helping make our dreams come true! 🐴🌷
Pictured is one of our barn members Desiree and her mother riding together in Ireland 💚🧡

Good luck on finals gauchos! 📝 Summer break is almost here!
Last week, we welcomed a UCSB art class to the stables to practice drawing horses! We had such a wonderful time hosting this class, and all the horses loved all the attention from the students! ✏️🐴
When mom comes to get you from turnout and asks if you ran though the mud like she specifically asked you not to do…
The barn has been a horse paradise lately, with grass as far as the eye can see! 💚
Max is hoping last weekend’s rain brings us lots of yummy grass to snack on! 😋
How to complete the perfect roll - brought to you by Mr. bear, our perfect palomino. 🐻
When you tell your pony that you’ll be right back with a carrot but last time the carrot you brought back was 1 cm too small so now he has to make sure you grab at-least 3 to make up for your horrendous mistake. 👀🥕
A unicorn & the beach!? 🦄 We can’t name anything better.
Where is your favorite place to ride? 🌿
Loaded up and ready for an adventure! 🐴🤠🌳 Many of our members love taking their horses to explore the trails, shows, and scenery of beautiful Santa Barbara.
