The Washington Student Math Association (WSMA) is launching the second year of Proofs for Purpose: a free online math proof competition dedicated to providing students with challenging math problems while supporting COVID-19 frontline workers in our community.
The competition is open to all middle school students and runs from 5/2 to 5/16. Participants are welcome to start and submit to [email protected] anytime before 5/16 at 11:59pm, and we will send feedback for every submission.
For every submission, WSMA will donate $10 to the COVID-19 Critical Needs designation of Seattle Foundation up to our goal of $1000. For each of the three winners, WSMA will donate an additional $100 to the Seattle Foundation on their behalf. Last year we reached our goal of $1000, and we hope to surpass that goal and continue to impact our community through this event!
Please fill out this form if you are interested in participating, and don’t forget to pass this along to anyone who may be interested as well!
