Pork shoulder is marinated in the magical mixture of Achiote paste and citrus juices, then wrapped in banana leaves and slow roasted ‘til the bone falls out. Topped with tangy salsa verde and pickled red onions, these tacos are perfection!

Halibut Ceviche is back! Come cool off in the AC with some fresh flavors of the playa. Fresh Halibut cured in lime juice, jalapeño, red onion, cucumber, tomato and cilantro. With sliced avocado and fresh chips. Nothing pairs better with a cerveza than ceviche!

Introducing the next wave of craft cocktail features at El 42 Cantina!
Pictured here is the “Pirata John”. is a line of rum from Maui, all of which are delicious on their own. In our endless pursuit of new flavors, we decided to go with a tiki style smattering of liqueurs that evoke memories of a sunny beach. For our El Chupacabra margarita, we hand dice around 6 pineapples a week, and one of our bartenders, John, asked the very important question “don’t you think we could do something with the cores?” And after some research, trial and error, the Pineapple-core coconut-palm syrup was born. Whether it’s sunny out or misty sea wind is whipping your face, Pirata John will freshen your palate! Photos of the others are coming in the following days. Salud!

Welcome our newest addition to the full-time cocktail list, “Tea-Wana”! Featuring Huana, a liquor rooted in ancient cultures of the Yucatán. The Guanabana fruit’s flavor sits somewhere between pineapple, banana and honey. Paired with our Early Grey tea syrup, vodka and fresh lemon juice, this is a John Daly with a refreshing tropical twist. Our Earl Grey syrup can elevate a variety of other concoctions as well. If you haven’t tried one yet, don’t fret. Brand new cocktails are coming this week, but Tea-Wana is here to stay.
