Yesterday, students from Benson and Franzen enjoyed a performance by the talented Peacock Middle School band! The young students loved learning about some of the individual instruments and the types of sounds they make. 🎶🪈 #weareitasca10

Last night at the Fine & Applied Arts Festival, we delighted in hearing the tunes of Peacock Middle School’s Jazz Band and enjoyed an exciting preview of Shrek: The Musical, coming April 26th & 27th. 🎵 🎺🎬 #weareitasca10 #shrekthemusicaljr

There was so much excitement today as participating students spent time safely viewing the Solar Eclipse. Students delighted in this rare event while learning and observing. ☀️🌑🎤 #weareitasca10 #solareclipse

🎶 Last week, Peacock students had the opportunity to enjoy Michael Folker from the Elgin Symphony Orchestra perform a percussion demonstration. Students watched enthusiastically as Michael played the snare drum, xylophone, tambourine, and even learned about a Donkey's jawbone! 🥁This was just one of the performances that our district was awarded as part of the prestigious JCS Fund. The JCS Fund believes that young people who play, hear, and appreciate classical instrumental music lead better, more successful and rewarding lives. #weareitasca10 #elginsymphony
