With the stormy times many of our customers have noticed water leaks from their chimney into their homes and fireplace. The best way to secure your chimney is to fully waterproof it! Anytime a Chimney is fully waterproofed it should be repaired in these 3 different spots! Water comes in from the top ( crown ) and soaks into the brick or drips into your fireplace. When water hits the brick the brick soaks it up like a sponge pushing it out when we have heavy rains! Or it can remain there and freeze during the winter time. Fully waterproofing your chimney can help prevent damage later as long as the construction is in good shape it can be waterproofed!! 💦

An unswept chimney flue, though it may look like light dusting, once swept you can see the large amount of creosote that was in there. Keeping you chimney swept is very important. Creosote build up can cause fires so be sure to get your chimney swept yearly!
