Priesthood Sunday is a special day set aside to honor the priesthood in the United States.
On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Holy Ghost Parish in Jackson celebrated their priests Father Vijaya Mandanu, SVD and Father Mario Rasonabe, SVD priests with notes of encouragement, appreciation, and monetary gifts. St. John Vianny, the Patron of priests says, “The priesthood is the love of the heart of Jesus, think of our Lord Jesus Christ.” God bless our priests!

School is back in session and the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, Court 171 were ready. Ladies Tina Powell and Kathy Harris heard there was a need for bottled water in the local schools. On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, with the help of Knights Steven Powell, Kenneth Reed, Jimmie Hatchett, and Grand Knight Lawrence Johnson, of Council 171, we delivered 104 cases of water, 40 cases donated by a local grocery store. Galloway Elementary School (40 cases), Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School (24 cases), and Provine High School (40 cases). Thank you KPC court and council of #171 for a job well done.
