2024 Forecast Dinner Highlights! We had an unforgettable night on February 22 at the Country Club of Jackson as we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of our Annual Forecast Dinner! Thanks to the 375+ attendees who joined us for an engaging evening of financial forecasting, networking, and market insights.

Gabriela Santos shared her outlook on inflation, economic growth, chance of recession, and unemployment, while Peter Strzalkowski, CFA talked about the impact of increasing national debt on the markets. Dana Martin shared his valuable perspective on the versatility of ETF's, while David Caffrey brought intriguing questions and direction as our Moderator and Master of Ceremonies.

This year's Ethics Challenge, held November 30 at Millsaps College Else School of Management, was an undeniable triumph! The students' commitment to crafting their presentations, coupled with the invaluable expertise and guidance from our esteemed judges and industry expertise provided by our Society volunteers, has paved the way for these emerging professionals.

We had the honor of having three exceptional student teams from Jackson State University, Millsaps College Else School of Management, and LA Tech College of Business, who showcased their unwavering dedication and relentless efforts. The title of Ethics Challenge Champion was ultimately awarded to the team from Else School of Management at Millsaps College who placed first in this year’s event!

Our post-event reception took place at Jackson’s own Fertile Ground Beer Co. where participants, volunteers, faculty, and students came together, joined by event sponsors and members of the investment community. This was a fantastic networking opportunity for local university students to learn from esteemed industry leaders and gain valuable insights into the investment community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated individuals who contributed their time and resources to ensure the resounding success of this year's event. Each of you played a pivotal role in shaping a future for our industry that is rooted in ethical excellence.
