It's okay to be a little broken, that's how the light gets in ✨✨
Ooo! I was just talking about this concept in session today ❤️. This is SO hard sometimes, but SO worth it!!
Love this analogy ❤️❤️
We love to watch as each & every one of you bloom 🌹
Choosing to live fully after a loss isn't a betrayal to those who have passed; it's a tribute to them. Embracing life again honors their memory, reflecting the love and lessons they imparted. It's a way of carrying their legacy forward, celebrating their impact on our lives. And we all know it’s so much easier said than done. The only way across the pain is through the pain, and when living begins again, important not to resist it, because of disloyal feelings.
Find the batteries that work for you.
Be the light for someone else.
❤️
We made it!! 😅🫶🙌
The 10 darkest weeks of the year are behind us. And in only 7 more weeks we will have equal light! ☀️🌙
Before You Help Pick Out Your Teen's High School Schedule, Consider This There is an expectation that our teen's always need to push themselves academically, but here's why we need to take a more holistic approach.

RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.
When I was at one of my lowest (mental) points in life, I couldn’t get out of bed some days. I had no energy or motivation and was barely getting by.
I had therapy once per week, and on this particular week I didn’t have much to ‘bring’ to the session. He asked how my week was and I really had nothing to say.
“What are you struggling with?” he asked.
I gestured around me and said “I dunno man. Life.”
Not satisfied with my answer, he said “No, what exactly are you worried about right now? What feels overwhelming? When you go home after this session, what issue will be staring at you?”
I knew the answer, but it was so ridiculous that I didn’t want to say it. I wanted to have something more substantial. Something more profound. But I didn’t. So I told him,
“Honestly? The dishes. It’s stupid, I know, but the more I look at them the more I CAN’T do them because I’ll have to scrub them before I put them in the dishwasher, because the dishwasher sucks, and I just can’t stand and scrub the dishes.”
I felt like an idiot even saying it. What kind of grown woman is undone by a stack of dishes? There are people out there with actual problems, and I’m whining to my therapist about dishes? But my therapist nodded in understanding and then said:
“RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.”
I began to tell him that you’re not supposed to, but he stopped me.
“Why the hell aren’t you supposed to? If you don’t want to scrub the dishes and your dishwasher sucks, run it twice. Run it three times, who cares? Rules do not exist, so stop giving yourself rules.”
It blew my mind in a way that I don’t think I can properly express.
That day, I went home and tossed my smelly dishes haphazardly into the dishwasher and ran it three times. I felt like I had conquered a dragon. The next day, I took a shower lying down. A few days later. I folded my laundry and put them wherever they fit. There were no longer arbitrary rules I had to follow, and it gave me the freedom to make accomplishments again.
Now that I’m in a healthier place, I rinse off my dishes and put them in the dishwasher properly. I shower standing up. I sort my laundry. But at a time when living was a struggle instead of a blessing, I learned an incredibly important lesson:
THERE ARE NO RULES. RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE!

If you don't 'encourage every opportunity' for your kids, you're a more successful parent than most, says Harvard-trained expert Researcher Jennifer Breheny Wallace surveyed 6,500 parents across the U.S., and found that many with successful kids put up "guardrails." Here's what that means.
All relationships, even the most successful ones, have conflict. It is unavoidable. Fortunately, our research shows that it’s not the appearance of conflict, but rather how it’s managed that predicts the success or failure of a relationship. We say “manage” conflict rather than “resolve,” because relationship conflict is natural and has functional, positive aspects that provide opportunities for growth and understanding.
The first step in effectively managing conflict is to identify and counteract The Four Horsemen when they arrive in your conflict discussions. Thankfully, for every horseman there is an antidote, and you can learn how and when to use them here: https://bit.ly/3oYhyOK

The way people view you.
Sometimes I think about the different characters I play in everybody’s story.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m a terrible person in some people's narratives and a Godsend in others.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And none of it has anything to do with the person I truly am.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The lens that others view you through is coloured by their upbringing, beliefs, and individual experiences.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some people see your bright personality as endearing and others see it as annoying.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some people think you’re weak and emotional and others feel safe to be themselves around you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some people think you’re rude and selfish and others respect the way you stand up for yourself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some people admire the way you take pride in the way you look and others think you’re conceited.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And none of it has to do with who you truly are as a person.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What you have to understand is that you have no authority over how people view you so never try to control the way others see you because the only thing that truly matters when the dust settles down at the end of the day is what you genuinely see in yourself.

The ultimate goal in the aftermath of a fight is to have dialogue about the underlying issues that started it. Miscommunication, or a lack of communication, can cause further unnecessary conflict. Relationship conflict should be seen as an opportunity to work together and grow as a couple.

In a society that is increasingly stressed out, it’s easy and compelling to find ways to distract ourselves. Everyone is doing it… But by coming back to our own center, by finding some stillness and peace, we can realign with what brings a more lasting sense of calm and fulfillment. Think nature, laughter, quiet and being present to yourself. By letting go of dependencies on external factors and embracing genuine experiences, relationships, and self-love, we 100% can create a more meaningful, magical, and vibrant life.

Kindness gets your needs met most of the time. Even if you are angry, in order to approach your partner effectively you must be kind. If you’ve paved the way for your partner to be open to you, they are more likely to hear your frustration and respond with compassion.
Being kind and gentle is a decision. Just as we offer a smile and hold the door open for a stranger, we must remember to cultivate this habit in our relationship, no matter how many months or years have passed.
