Broadleaf Plantain inspired by Robin Wall Kimmerer’s for Kristine’s first tattoo this week! She sat like a rock for a full 7 hours 🥹 a true badass. Thanks for all the trust and patience!!
For some reason this post malfunctioned so here we go again!
Finished this flash design we started while I was guesting in Chicago at .studio two months prior- thank you so much for coming to finish this awesome piece, Odessa! ❤️ Thinking of you guys .studio ❤️
A forty-ONEderful day celebrating my love
*not pictured: birthday cake from scratch, disc golf, Pet Cemetery, and a bedroom filled with 3” of water we lovingly bailed out together at a sleepy 9pm and then slumber partied in the living room*
Another successful Knot Eye Tiger adoption today for Kelly🥹 Thank you for the wonderful afternoon of fascinating conversation!
A little Parma culture with
(Semi) matching chocolate chip cookies for these wonderful ladies! Thank you for the trust, the fun idea, the prom pics, and an excellent rainy afternoon.
One of my favorite clients came to me with this existing spiderweb design. The way it fit their wrist was unflattering, and gave it a bit of a goth-girl-lace-glove vibe they didn’t feel comfortable with, so together we came up with a solution! Extending the piece up their wrist and connecting it to a birch branch and other existing tattoos made it feel more web-like, grounding it in space. In the future we may add more spiders and darken my additions to fade evenly with the original over time. Swipe through to see the original and close-ups! Thank you Piper for the support and trust! Ps. No shade to the original artist. It happens 🤷♀️
Giant leopard with irises and chrysanthemums for Kayla! Thanks for being a beast ❤️☺️
A small Sunday scene.
Added a little floofy Pippin for my dearest Rachel! Below a healed Renaissance face (one of my all-time favorites). We also did a partially freehand tulip I’ll share later this week 🤩. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend!
My final tattoo from my visit to .studio in Chicago, guesting with 😌
Here are a thousand photos because I love it and cannot choose!! This is based off a pencil drawing (4th image) I made for my best buddies that lovely Stephanie screen-shotted! This is also the first one of my cat illustrations I made with pencil rather than on my little iPad. Such a fun one to recreate, and I hope to do more drawings of cats in specific illustrative locations in the future.
Thank you SO much to Stephanie for being a badass- they just moved/drove from California to Chicago THAT MORNING, dropped their cats off at their new apartment, and came directly to get a tattoo. Made my heart grow a few sizes ❤️ Hope you’ve settled back in to Chicago, friend! Happy healing!
“The smallest of flames lead the way in the darkest of times”
I was so excited that Katharine came to me wanting a Torch Bearer. This tattoo is a continuation in the project by who has tattooed tens of little marching friends carrying the light. She states- “Those bright lights believe that another world is possible, and while we feel small, we only burn brighter when we are united together. Whether it’s a small light to follow for the sake of your own survival, or a bright torch for others to follow, or the rage to burn it all down ”
Thank you Katharine for the trust and lovely afternoon, and Stephanie for the powerful project. Done at .studio in Chicago.
Audubon flycatcher for Will! Thanks for the great convo and reminiscing about old Indy:) done at .studio in Chicago!
Added a whole litter of cats to Kelsey’s cat leg! Don’t at .studio in Chicago.
Did a trade with the wonderful this week! This is a memorial for her late cat, Lemon, who chewed the hole in the leaf. Scroll through to see the plant we referenced and give Cloey a follow to see what I got in return!

Successful first day tattooing at .studio in Chicago! Thank you so much Odessa for your delightful conversation, and massive tolerance for a hefty rib tattoo 🥵 second Yellow Breasted Chat added at a later date.
If you’ve never come to see Cloey’s beauuuutiful, comfortable, plant-filled, cat-adoring, wholly accepting space or any of the three inSANE tattooers here, you’re missing out. What a treat.
Some bright little reminders about the small things- for Katlyn- more to come next session!! Slugs, butterflies, dragonflies, mantids and more. I think frogs may be my favorite thing to tattoo 🤔 Let’s do more! 💚
St. John the Baptist looking grim for Allie’s other thigh! We did a different painting of the same image (by another painter) a few weeks back. What Renaissance painting would you get tattooed?
