Chartered by twelve distinguished scholars on March 31, 1948 at Tougaloo College, PE is the first undergraduate chapter in the state of Mississippi.
The Rho Epsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity has been a stalwart supporter of the ambition of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift, that was eloquently comprised by the Fraternity's four Honorable Founders on November 17, 1911 on the campus of Howard University. On Friday evening, November 17, 1911, three Howard University undergraduate students, with the assistance of their faculty adviser, gave birth to the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

The Rho Epsilon Chapter is commemorating its 75th anniversary of being the first undergraduate chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in the State of Mississippi and the first Greek-letter fraternity on the campus of Tougaloo College. We are celebrating with a week of activities headlined by our diamond anniversary banquet with the 41st Grand Basileus Brother Ricky Lewis as our keynote speaker.

Haynes is a junior economics major from Moss Point, Ms. He has won many honors since joining the fraternity such as highest individual GPA in the seventh district. Bro. A’mon Haynes was awarded with the “District Scholar or the Year Award” for the 7th district this past weekend at the International Leadership conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey. .
