We're halfway through Clear the Shelters 2024! We've had a great time participating and we've had almost 60 pups go home during the first two weeks.

And dog-gone it, we're not done yet! For Week 3 there is another fundraising match opportunity.

💰 The one shelter with the single largest donation between Tuesday, August 27th at 1 p.m. ET and Monday, September 2nd at 11:59pm ET will receive $5k grant from The Animal Rescue Site by GreaterGood.

💰 The two shelters who receive the highest number of individual gifts during this timeframe, regardless of donation size, will each receive $5k grants from The Animal Rescue Site.

This pocket pup, was sadly found as a stray by one of local ACO’s but no one came looking for him. At the risk of being euthanized, CPR happily stepped up and made room with a foster, because we just know someone is going to fall in love with this little man.

Boo Boo Bear is around a 1 ½ old so he’s all done with growing! He loves all his two & four legged friends and wants to make friends fast. Now in foster care, Boo Boo is working on his house manners and hopes to show them off to a new family soon!

Over 38,000 dogs rescued, 1,000s of miles driven, countless dogs spayed & neutered through our low cost program, and so much love and joy spread! We’ve been around a long time, but this is our FIRST year participating in and we are so happy to have the extra support to get our pups into their forever homes. Sweet Naomi has been the perfect house guest 🏡 while in foster care with CPR & now she can’t wait to be a part of a family of her own.

She absolutely loves ❤️ every person she meets & playing with other pups is a favorite pastime of hers. Naomi is working really hard on her house manners & can’t wait to go on adventures with her new person or family. She is around two years old so she’s done with her puppy shenanigans & will fall in step with her new family routine pretty quickly.

Good morning, friends
As most of you know, our CT adoption center is located in Southbury, and I'm sure everybody has seen the pictures of the devastating floods that ravished the area yesterday. We're thankful to report that all of the pups and our staff at the adoption center are safe and sound, and we hope all of you are as well!
As of now, open house hours this afternoon are still on 3 until 6. We don't expect that to change, but if it does, we'll update on here immediately.
However, to get to us at 522 North Georges Hill Rd....Kettletown is closed, so access to the barn is via George's Hill Rd or Peter/Bullet Hill Rd.
We're sending love and good thoughts to our neighbors and surrounding communities that were also hit by this 1 in 1000 year catastrophic rain event.

The most perfect picture of Candy for her profile 🥰. She’s doing really great! She spent a week with Julie while we were away, she’s on day 8 of no accidents in the house! Great with cats and dogs. Knows sit command. Walks well on a leash but still pulls at times. She’s as active or lazy as you are but she loves to be next to a person or snuggling. Loves a great squeaker toy. She’s really a great girl!🥰
