Praise God, it is finally happening!
After years of waiting, planning, and government red tape ground has been broken for the True Light Children's Project compound!
This project will provide classrooms, daycare, a computer lab, a library, a playground, shops to sell caregiver's handmade products, a cafe, and offices for serving over 250 families that are enrolled in the TLC Project!
PHASE ONE of the project involved planning, permission, and obtaining land. COMPLETED!
PHASE TWO involved clearing the land, building the foundation, erecting walls, and putting a roof over the building. UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
PHASE THREE will be finishing work such as electric, plumbing, flooring, painting, and landscaping.
PHASE FOUR will be furnishing the facility.
We need a total of $130,000 to complete Phase Two and we already have $60,000!
Please pray for this project and give if you can. We have an immediate need for $70,000 so that we can complete Phase Two by December.

A PILGRIMAGE WITH PURPOSE -
For many of us in the southern United States, our familial and religious roots are deep in Scotland and Ireland. All throughout the mid-South names such as Jamison, Baird, Kennedy, and a variety of McSomethings can be found. Our music, our food, our accent, and our stories are connected to the Scots-Irish. Many of our forebears paid a heavy price for the political and religious freedoms that we enjoy today. Their story is worth experiencing.
Our Pilgrimage with a Purpose will begin in Glasgow, Scotland before heading south along the Coastal Highway for a beautiful drive filled with breathtaking views of the Irish Sea. We plan to tour Scotland's cradle of Christianity where Saint Ninian first brought the Gospel to the Pictish people in Whithorn. Our journey will coincide with the annual Martyrs Memorial Service at Wigtown, Scotland's National Book Town.
Although this mission could be considered historic tourism there is a greater purpose than just an exotic vacation. Indigenous Outreach International has informally partnered with two Scottish pastors in southern Scotland's Dumfries and Galloway district. These two pastors each have charge over multiple congregations as the fertile fields lack laborers. Christianity in general has been rapidly declining in Scotland as spiritism and paganism have been growing. Our tour of this historical mission post, which was the beginning of Christianity in Scotland, is meant to inspire both the traveler and the native-born Christians to pray for revival. Furthermore, it is our hope that some of those who travel might be inspired to take a greater role in the spread of the Gospel in modern secular Scotland and increasingly secular America.
This opportunity hasn't come along in several years, and the current cost is much less than in years past. We need confirmation from those who are interested in joining this mission by February 7th in order to secure our travel arrangements. The actual cost of this journey will depend on airfare, but we estimate the per-person total to be less than $1,800 (including transport, lodging, and most meals). Space is limited.
