Wingard Home
We house people who are homeless: (women, children, pregnant teens, men, whole families, men w/childr
Our passion as inner city missionaries is to show Jesus to the people we serve through our actions, our words, and the way we live our own lives. We serve as a part of the body of Christ….not as lone soldiers.
Family Law Recommendations / Referrals needed, please!
We need a family lawyer (child custody) to advise and help one of my Wingard Home folks.
There are many who are able, but none I have found so far, who are willing to try. This is an urgent matter… we need help asap.
Please and thank y’all. 601-906-1976
P.S. Just so I don’t mislead anyone here…we are going to need Pro Bono legal help for her. She is very intelligent and actually has several degrees. Finding a job is not going to be a problem for her, but she must get this legal custody matter straight so she can ethically move forward. Whoever will take this case will have to be someone who is passionate about justice and helping those who can’t help themselves. Right now she has nothing and no one in her corner….yet 🥰
Hey y’all, I have 2 different Moms in need of “ big kid strollers” here at Wingard. One little boy is 2 and one is 3. Thank you in advance for your help and prayers. Text me or call me at (601) 906-1976
Help! We need someone to donate an old minivan (or something roomy) that runs & will hold a family of 7!!!🚎❤️🙏🏻
Every morning in my staff meeting and prayer time, I thank God for his provision and his faithfulness to supply all the needs for the ministry. Today, as I was thanking God in praise & prayer, God moved on my heart to also thank his vessels. God uses people to accomplish his good works on this planet. You are the hands and feet of Christ. God meets the needs here at this ministry every day through you, so this morning I want to say thank you for being faithful to God and being the hands and feet of Christ in this ministry.
Hey y'all! I have a family of 7 here at the ministry. I am in search of a working vehicle for them. Sorta urgent..😁

I am so grateful for all support, volunteers, and for prayer covering. Involvement in ministry can come in many forms. We all have the opportunity to help and to bless. The ministry has a few urgent needs that I will post now. If you can't help, tell someone else about the needs, and/or pray for provision...
NEEDS- coffee, cinnamon, pepper, olive oil, microwave popcorn, salad dressing, pickles, banana peppers, sugar, bleach, laundry detergent, pine sol, fabuloso, & window cleaner.

Blessings to you all. I took in a beautiful little family of 4 today and could sure use an extra pack N play if someone has one to spare. Some of the items on our needs list from last week would help bunches right now, too ( especially the pillows and laundry soap).
We are terribly short on those and have yet to get some in.
We are blessed to be able to help and blessed that you are willing to join us as we house and take care of this new family. Thank you for always being available in times of need.
SUMMER'S HERE, Y'ALL!!
I am posting our current needs for the ministry because you have asked (please share with those who want to help):
* laundry detergent
* bleach
* dryer static sheets
* new pillows
* bath towels
* cleaning supplies
* Clorox wipes
* paper towels
* toilet paper
* pillows (new)
* twin comforter sets ( for male & female )
* sugar
• barbecue sauce
* butter
* bottled water
* sports drink or powder
* Any surplus from your garden that you would want to share
We are grateful beyond words. Thank you! If you have questions, call or text... 601-906-1976
Saturday Work Day is a great way for all the Wingard Home residents to give back to the ministry AND for the community to join us in celebrating what God is doing here through this ministry. It is a great opportunity for immersion into ministry through hands on experience, understanding the needs of the homeless, and spreading the gospel by living it through actions.
We would love to give a shout out and a huge thank you to Park Place Christian Academy in Pearl. Mrs. Abby Willoughby & her National Honor Society Students gathered a truck load of supplies and clothing items for Wingard Home Ministry in Jackson. Also, joining them in the donation drive were Mrs. Donna Hunt’s first grade students from PPCA’s Dyslexia Center! Wow! PPCA teachers, staff, administrators , and students are powerful witnesses of Christ’s love for family and community. All the homeless people we serve are blessed because you “love God and love your neighbor” ..,thank you! , , ,
Wingard Home Ministry would love to give a huge shout out to William Grant of Boy Scout troop 300 in Brandon MS. William chose Wingard Home Ministry as the location of his Eagle Scout project. He has worked many hours since February planning, raising support, and (for two Saturdays) doing the grunt labor to set up our workshop.
The most impressive thing about the Boy Scouts and this Eagle Scout project is how it promoted family involvement. Williams ‘s entire family ( Steven & Dana Grant, y’all are amazing! ) was actively involved in all facets of the project. Wingard Home Ministry greatly appreciates William Grant and his well-planned and carried-out Eagle Scout project here at the ministry! We also applaud his family, Boy Scout troop 300 members and Cub Scout pack 88 from Clinton MS. They all came out to support William as he made his vision for the ministry workshop become a reality.
We hear far too much news about young men doing bad stuff! This project was about young men doing great things in our community, so give it up for Brandon’s new Eagle Scout, William Grant! 👏🏆👍🏻🦅
Yea!! We have new folks at Wingard Home. Your eyes, ears, and hearts out there in the city are appreciated.
I have a 19-year-old single Mom who is ready to get to work. She has a high school diploma and is eager to learn & work. We are looking for a child care center for her 3-year-old little girl. If you know of a child care with an opening for a 3-year-old, please call or text me at 601-906-1976. She is getting her driver's license tomorrow and will be ready to work....as soon as we can find child care.
I also have a gentleman who has been in sales most of his life. He is everything and anything officey 🙂 If you have any tips for him for a job, please respond. He is very professional and simply needs a chance to get back out there in the workforce.
I have a young woman who is in her late twenties looking for a medical office position. She is willing to learn and grow. She is very professional and would make a great customer service person.
Y'all are awesome and I always appreciate your help.
Hey y'all. I have acouple of "bugs" to put in your ear today. I have several new ladies looking for jobs. One is a barista with experience. The other one is a 31 year old who has a history in corrections in another state. She is looking to get into corrections or the sherrif's office here. The other lady is looking for a day position in retail or customer service.
If y'all have any "inside leads" then please give me a call or text message. (601) 906-1976.
Hey y'all and happy Spring Break. On our first day of saving the daylight and the first day of Spring break, I have checked in 5 new folks at Wingard Home.
I have one man (Joe) who is looking for a job as a roofer. He said that he is a roofer by trade. If you can help, please give me a call at 601-906-1976.
I also have a young mother of two who is looking for a job and a day care for her 3 year old little boy. Her little girl will be starting Kindergarten in Jackson Public on Monday.
God has the troops in place, the prize is before us and the battle belongs to him.
"Praise the LORD, Hallelujah, and thank-you Jesus!" (lovingly borrowed from the late Mrs. Lizzie Cooper) 🥰
Present needs: laundry detergent, bleach, a pair of size 11 wide men's athletic shoes, trash bags, bottled water, brooms, & cleaning supplies.
Can we talk? I have a great opportunity for anyone wanting to bless a homeless mom with children who is working hard to get on her feet.

I have 2 new families here. This makes a total of three of my families (with children) who don’t have a car. It has become extremely difficult, helping transport children to school, childcare, and various appointments.
If I had an extra car, I would give it to one or the other of these ladies. I’m really having a problem stretching to help with transportation for all three since I’m only one human. 😩
This is my thought …if anybody has a little car that is running and they just want to bless somebody with it, then please pray about donating it to Wingard Home for a tax write off.
If you have a car that you could sell inexpensively, then that is a possibility, too, because two of the ladies already have jobs, and have begun to save their money.
Current needs for those of you who have asked:
• toddler’s bed sheets and covers (girl)
• pull-ups for girl 2T-3T
• baby wipes
• laundry detergent
• bleach
• COFFEE (we are out)
Regular grind for drip coffee maker OR K- cups
If you have questions, please call or text (601) 906-1976
Bottled water needed at Wingard Home Ministry, please!
Y’all, Puckett Machinery folks are the most sharing and giving people! They made our Christmas season sparkle with wonder for the homeless we house! They provided not only food, gifts, & decorations, but also crafts for our folks to enjoy. What a beautiful, wondrous family Christmas they created at Wingard Home this year. Y’all, help me give a New Year shout out to some of the most caring folks in Mississippi!
Wingard Home hosts holiday festival for sponsored families It was a day of joy and Christmas Cheer at the Mississippi Trade Mart on Saturday.
Happy New Year, y’all ! I would like to thank all of you who worked so tirelessly alongside us through the Christmas season. You are amazing! Even all of our adults had gifts under the tree. The gifts were expressions of the love of Christ, because you all were willing to reach out to perfect strangers and spend money and your time to show them love in Jesus name! How amazing is our Savior!
Revised Christmas Brochure
OH, and we just placed our "Little Lamb Christmas Tree" in the Madison Walmart Madison - Grandview Blvd!! Yea and all thanks be to God who opens door that no human can open. Y'all please go there and choose a child from the "lamb tree"!
We now have lots of "little lamb" children ready for sponsorship. Even though we continue to plead with the Madison Walmart manager, Joshua Stringer, to allow us to place our "little lamb Christmas tree" at his store, he still has not responded. We need your prayerful intercession for his decision right away!
In the meantime, we will be glad to bring a bunch of lamb cards to you, your business, club, or event venue To allow y'all to choose and sign up for some lambs right where you are.
We only have a couple of weeks to get this done by the festival where we give the gifts to the children, so we are now "all hands on deck". Call me at 601-906-1976 if you would like us to bring the lambs to you for your choosing.
We will be in Raymond this weekend (Saturday) at Raymond's Christmas on the Square. We will have a booth (thanks to Josh & Brooke McMahon), and we will be able to have a Christmas tree full of lamb cards for y'all to choose from to become their sponsors. We totally look forward to seeing you there.

Hello friends!
We have had several supporters asking for easier ways to shop & donate to the Wingard Home Ministry, so we have made a few Amazon lists! For the time being, we have separated the items into several categories - bedding/towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies, food, miscellaneous & urgent needs, & Christmas Lambs.
When shopping from these lists, shipping directly to the Wingard Home is an option, it should show up as an option in checkout (the full address is hidden by Amazon, but if you select the option that has our name it will come to the right place).
If you are shopping with these lists & run into any issues or have any questions, please comment on this thread & someone will reply to your comment to help you.

There are a few gift cards on this wishlist - if any of those are received, the ministry will use them for the most urgent needs first.
Christmas Lambs: https://a.co/gzxJmjG
The tree may not be up yet, but that’s not going to stop us from getting into the Christmas spirit! Additional items will be added as children continue to be chosen.
Blessings for Current Residents: https://a.co/iDwcGt9
This list is coming soon & will be a hub to find what shoes, work clothes, & other items the current residents of the Wingard Home are currently in need of.
🙏🏻 Hey y’all! Please, we need “a foot in the door” and some prayers for favor with the manager of the Madison Walmart.
🎁If you know the manager, could you intercede for us?
🎄🐑 We need to place our little lamb Christmas tree at Madison WalMart for a couple of weeks starting Thanksgiving weekend.
