Act Now to Help Improve Access to Peer Support Specialists - Comments are due by 11:59 PM Eastern on Monday, August 12th!
"The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) collects data on occupations, but currently does not have a category specifically for peer support specialists. OMB is asking for comments NOW to revise the Standard Occupational Classification System (SOC), a process that only happens every 10 years. We need your help letting the federal government know that more data is needed on the peer support workforce to improve access and wages."

Taking a break from screens gives your mind time to reset. Try turning off your phone and step outside.
What are some ways you unplug?
Mental health and physical health go hand in hand. When your physical health improves, your mental health is likely to improve as well.
How do you take care of your physical health?
Start a conversation about mental health. Don't let stigma prevent you from being yourself. When I am open about my mental heath, it creates a safe place for others to be their true selves.
Has anybody created a safe space for you?
May is Mental Health Month.
According to The Mayo Clinic gratitude can decrease depression, anxiety, difficulties with chronic pain and risk of disease.
