Dearest Passion Fur Paws clients and potential clients,

For those of you who don’t know about my health scare in January, I went into cardiac arrest at my home where CPR was performed until the paramedics arrived. I was then taken to the hospital and intubated for several days with a chance of not pulling through. After being extubated there was a very long road to recovery, part of that included having a surgery to implant an ICD device in my chest to prevent further cardiac arrest incidents. It is believed to have been stress and medications that reacted poorly together causing the cardiac arrest.

I’ve spent time recovering and thinking about how to proceed with my dog training business that I’ve been so passionate about building. I have come to the decision that for the time being I will only be accepting previous clients that are in good standing and referred clients after an interview to make sure the new terms and conditions are understood and accepted. I will only be doing private sessions at this time, this is including basic obedience through advanced obedience as well as therapy and service dog training. We will also have a monthly pack walk to join in for anyone who’d like to come.

This amazing team has been working very hard on their service dog training. It’s been a long road but Stephanie & Poppy are doing amazing! We had our second restaurant training/outing and they killed it! Great job guys! We’re SO proud of you!

There are several dangers posed by fake service dogs to real service dogs, including:

1. Distraction: Fake service dogs may not be properly trained or socialized, which can lead to them being disruptive or aggressive towards real service dogs. This can make it difficult for the real service dog to focus on their tasks and may put them at risk of injury.

2. Stress: Real service dogs are highly trained to perform specific tasks and are relied upon by their handlers for assistance. The presence of a fake service dog can cause stress and anxiety for the real service dog, as they may feel threatened or overwhelmed by the presence of an untrained or unruly dog.

3. Risk of injury: Fake service dogs may not be properly trained to behave in public settings, which can increase the risk of physical harm to both real service dogs and their handlers. Aggressive or poorly behaved fake service dogs can pose a danger to real service dogs, leading to potential injuries or altercations.

4. Damage to reputation: Fake service dogs can give a bad name to legitimate service dog teams, as they may behave inappropriately or cause disruptions in public spaces. This can lead to increased scrutiny and discrimination against real service dog handlers, making it more difficult for them to access public spaces and receive the accommodations they need.

Overall, the presence of fake service dogs can pose significant risks to real service dogs and their handlers, compromising their safety, well-being, and ability to perform essential tasks. It is important for individuals to respect the rights of legitimate service dog teams and not misrepresent their pets as service animals.

It’s finally here guys! New group classes will be starting the 2nd full week of June, classes will be held in the evenings and we need a vote in the comments… first vote a class day 💥Tuesday💥Wednesday OR 💥Thursday then vote for a time 🌟5:30pm🌟6pm 🌟6:30pm OR 🌟7pm.

🐾Classes will be held at Cascades! If it rains we’ll either use the pavilion or we’ll cancel class for excessive rain.

I am out of the hospital and back to work, that being said I do still have a few things healing up pretty slowly so I’m not back to 100% yet. I want to say THANK YOU so much to my clients that have been so understanding.
It was confirmed that I did in fact have a heart attack, I had to be on a ventilator for 3 days and they put a defibrillator in my chest. I am off my lifting restriction but still trying to take at easy for a little bit and I’m still pretty uncomfortable every day.

An update on Crystal

The past couple days have been really rough on my family. My mom (Crystal) went into cardiac arrest Wednesday night and was rushed to the hospital. Her heart stopped a couple times but they got her stable and onto a ventilator. As of right now we do not know what caused this but they are running every test is order to try and find out. My mom is healthy and has no major health problems so this really came out of the blue. As of today she is off her ventilation and breathing on her own. Once she was up for a bit and out of sedation a little she was able to talk with us, which was absolutely amazing with the rough couple days/nights we had. We will continue to pray and have positive thoughts for her progression. Thank you everyone who has reached out!

Due to a medical emergency and Crystal being hospitalized we will not be doing classes or outings until further notice. She could really use all the positive thoughts and prayers.
