The Jackson Free Clinic (JFC) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization who sees patients without health insurance.

The Jackson Free Clinic (JFC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation operated by the medical students of the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine in cooperation with local physicians and community leaders. The clinic is run each week by volunteer medical students from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and volunteer physicians from the Jackson community. Our services

JFC partnered with Stewpot’s Opportunity Center to provide blood pressure and glucose screenings, vaccines, and hygiene bags as part of their annual World Homeless Day Community Fair. World Homeless Day takes place every October 10th and aims to raise awareness of the needs of people experiencing homelessness and advocate for improved policies and funding to end homelessness in our communities. The School of Dentistry’s Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health Department is excited to announce that the next “Free Care Friday” will be held on November 22, 2024 from 8:30am until noon.

We will be dedicated to serving uninsured pediatric dental patients.
Our awesome faculty, residents, and students will provide dental services such as oral cancer screenings, teeth cleaning, extractions, and etc.

Please fill out an application which can be found in the 2nd floor lobby of the School of Dentistry at UMMC. We are currently working to also get this application put online. When it is, we will post a follow-up post with that link.

Applications must be received by October 15th to be considered for an appointment.

Our preventative health volunteers helped give out over 30 Shingles, Flu, and COVID vaccines at an event put on by OnyxCare, MSDH, and Fondren Renaissance. Thank you for having us!

Continuing our partnership with Greater Hope McComb, we hit the road this month to do another full-scope outreach event at the rural homeless shelter. We saw over 10 patients, drew labs, and worked with our community physician, Dr. Lampton!
