Many have been reminded that this is the longest night of the year, and this is a day that we remember the lives lost. MUTEH and partner agencies have held memorials across the state to remember our friends who are no longer with us.

To highlight the hopeful nature of our team (and to shed some light on what feels like a dark day), here is an actual text conversation between MUTEH staff:

Got another Veteran home for the holidays!

Employment often equals Housing Stability for those that we serve. As we take our assistance to those sleeping & living outside across the state, our goal is to get them stable where they no longer need our help. That goal is not achieved without employment. So, we're thankful for the many partners involved in hosting a Job Fair in Tupelo, MS, on October 30th. Please pass the word on to potential employers and to those needing employment! This is the first in a series of such events, so stay tuned for more!

On this day twelve years ago, Reginald D. Glenn started at MUTEH, but, more importantly, on this day 40 years ago, he started life. Thankful he's still at MUTEH!

MUTEH Monday: BEFORE and AFTER! Mr. R moved in on April 25. He was very shy, timid and lives with social anxiety . He now has a job at a local motorcycle shop and got a fresh haircut! He says it’s all because he now has a safe & stable home! We are so proud of his progress!

Our Outreach Team in Tupelo wanted to check some new places for encampments, and TFD stepped up to help! We are so grateful for communities who assist us in helping locate and house the homeless population in MS!

MUTEH Monday: Our Meridian Team participated in the 7th Annual Candy Crawl sponsored by the City of Meridian. Such a great opportunity to spread awareness on homelessness!

MUTEH Monday: Mr. R has officially graduated the RISE program in Hattiesburg! RISE - formerly Pinebelt CWJC is such a wonderful program, and we are so thankful for their partnership! We are so proud of Mr. R and his dedication to better himself for the future!

MUTEH Monday: October is Domestic Violence Awareness month! Our team in Tupelo teamed up with S.A.F.E., Inc. Northeast Mississippi for their Paint the Town Purple Event. MUTEH is so thankful for SAFE and their dedicated staff. They are truly making a difference in our state!

MUTEH Monday: We do a lot of (shameless) asking for donations around here. BUT today, our Hattiesburg team decided to give back to their community! MUTEH's Hattiesburg team filled backpacks for the "My Bag of Hope" Ministry at Heritage Church! This ministry provides support to foster children during the transition to a new home. If you would like to donate to this amazing ministry, feel free to reach out to Heritage Church Hattiesburg for more information!
