Well here's something that you don't see every day!!
Refrigerant leak, actually blew out the condenser coil fins!! Had more oil leaking than a BP spill!! 😂

Happy Friday!!! This picture was taken just a few moments ago and it shows how hot it is in the attic where my guys are working. Currently, it's 134° in there and we haven't even hit the high outside yet!! Attics are dangerous!!!

Alright folks, IT'S HOT outside!!!! When setting the thermostat in your home or business please be realistic. When the "feel like" temperatures are well over 90 degrees, it is highly unlikely that the temperature within your home will reach 70. I can tell you that during the day we set our thermostat to 77 and the system runs nonstop.

We understand that it is hot out there and that your units are running constantly. Be patient with them as they are working hard. Should you feel as though something just isn't quite right, we are here to help.

As we approach our 43rd year in business, we take pride in doing things right.
There are a BUNCH of immoral companies out here. Got a call today from a customer, who had another business come out over the weekend. They told the customer that their equipment should be replaced because it was "covered in mold".....
Now, unless that technician physically tested the bacteria, it's impossible to say if it's mold or mildew. 99.9% of the black stuff we come across is just mildew. It's Florida. We all know that from March to August we are all covered in mildew, thanks to our monsoon season.
Do not let anyone use fear to try and sell you something!!!
There's another one telling customers that if the system didn't have a permit, then they don't have a warranty!! That is also 100% FALSE! As long as the company who installed the equipment registered it properly, then you will have the proper warranty!!!
We've probably lost out on money by fixing things that others would just replace.
But in this economy, if we can save you money, we are gonna do our best.
43 years of service. You don't stay in business for 43 years by taking advantage of anyone!

EWW! GROSS!!
Fun fact! Just like you, your HVAC system gets clogged arteries! Without proper maintenance, this gunk builds up inside the drain line.
We have products to help eliminate the build-up. This one today required both a 5HP shop vac, and 500 psi of nitrogen to clear the clog. I was able to cut out the major slime, and we flooded the remaining out with a water hose.
Our preventative maintenance program will help to keep this out.
But you can do it at home!! Every month when you replace your air filter, pour 1 cup of bleach into the drain. It will help kill the bacteria, and keep those drains free and clean!

This is the kind of stuff that builds up in your drain. This is why maintenance is so important. Luckily we got here in time before it caused major damage, But another day or 2 this would have come through the ceiling.

It's hard to post cool pictures of HVAC stuff, because it's usually boring, or only a technician knows how really screwed up it is.
We went to a call today for a unit that we installed last year. It was installed correctly, works perfectly, and looked good! Until she had the house painted, and the painter neglected to cover the unit while spray painting the house!!
For whatever reason she didn't get along with the tech. OK, not everyone loves me (only a select few don't).
So, she called a different company to come out and service this brand new unit.
This other "Company" tried to sell this woman a part that's not defective!!
Not only is it not broken, IT'S STILL IN A FULL ONE YEAR WARRANTY!!! Meaning, if it was truly bad, we would replace it 100% free!!
She called us back out to replace it (because they wanted $1300 for a functional part). We inspect the machine, and there's absolutely nothing wrong!! These guys just wanted to make a sale. That's wrong, and should be illegal.
I will promise you this.
We will NEVER try to sell you a part that you do not need. We will NEVER try to make up a story about needing to replace something that isn't broken.
I would rather lose a customer than make an unethical sale. It's wrong, it's dirty, and we won't partake in that kind of swindle.
We will gladly talk to you about what's needed, and how we can help.
And you have my word that we'll only fix what's needed, and try to keep it affordable.
I should call out the other company, but I won't.
