It’s been almost 2 weeks since battered our beautiful little town. Uprooted and broken trees, piles of yard debris, broken cages, leaky roofs and flooding topped the local conversation charts.

While we were blessed that Manasota Beach Vacation Villa did not sustain and damages 🙏🏻 we faced a behemoth job of cleaning the property, removing broken trees, fixing damaged pool enclosure and restoring the private sanctuary that our villa is known for 🙌🏻

So… we rolled up our sleeves, became regulars and got creative to win attention of contractors 😉 who were inundated with thousands of calls from distraught homeowners. Days and nights blended together but we did it! 👏🏻 In record time we restored, improved and upgraded and this past weekend, welcomed our wonderful guests from the UK ❤️

From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all of you for reaching out, your kind words, offers to help and keeping us in your thoughts as we dealt with aftermath.

Venice Jetties were constructed with the channel between them in 1937. South Jetty is in the City of Venice; North Jetty is in Nokomis.

South Jetty is a short drive from the Manasota Vacation Villa and is great for leisurely walks, picnics, boat and bird watching. There’s also a beach and waterfront restaurant so you can literally stay the whole day and catch the sunset.
