Tax fact 2023:

For the 2023 tax filings you can claim your qualified dependents (age 17 and under) and receive a $2,000 tax credit. (Subject to credit phase out of $400,000 for joint filers and $200,000 for single filers)

Claimed dependents over the age of 17 you still get a credit of $500.

These credit amounts are independent of the Earned Income Tax Credit (where you can only claim 3 qualified dependents for that tax credit calculation)
