We love supporting our local sports teams! Earlier this week a group of residents went to watch the Jacksonville Icemen. While the Icemen may have lost the game we still had a great time watching the game!

Every Thursday in the month of November we are highlighting residents here at the community and what they are thankful for! This Thursday we are focusing on Melvin! He is thankful for all of the lovely people he has met here and become friends with! Can’t wait to see what everyone else is thankful for this month!

Here are our Halloween costume contest participants! We had staff and residents dress up. Our associate contest winner was our purple witch! Our resident contest winner was no other than Lady Godiva!

We had a great time here on Halloween! Hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween!

Congratulations to our Nursing Home Administrator Brian and his team for receiving a five star rating from CMS! Only 10% of nursing homes in America receive the honor of a Five Star Rating!

Employee spotlight!
One of our kitchen staff in our Assisted Living kitchen, Thaddeus! Won a gold medal in his jiu-jitso tournaments over the weekend! Congrats on getting a gold medal and thanks for all your hard work here in the building!

This weekend we celebrated our annual fall festival! We had a photo booth, crafters table, wine pull, cake walk, yard games and a craft sale. Thank you to all who came out and helped us celebrate!

Our Lead Concierge and member of the Staff’s Bee Positive team, Talanda, created a Photo Booth for our staff and residents to get into the Halloween Spirt!! Special thanks to Johnna to help make this happen!

Looking forward to seeing all of our Fountains Family at our upcoming fall festival! All of the money raised at the fall festival will be donated to the employee Christmas appreciation fund.

We are glad to say our community endured Hurricane Milton without incident.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those in south Florida who were not as fortunate.

Dear Fountain Familiy and Friends,

The Forecasters predict that Hurricane Milton will make impact with Florida. Although our community is just at the edge of the cone of certainty we are taking this event extremely seriously.
Our residents safety and well-being is our primary goal. As we did with Hurricane Helene, our team are going through the emergency preparedness plan once again.
We have reviewed and prepared our staffing, emergency food, water, supplies, and generators.
We will continue to monitor the condition of Hurricane Milton and provide any updates and changes that may occur.

Dinner club this month was a smashing success! We celebrated Oktoberfest this month with a Bavarian themed dinner club. Our first course was pickled devil eggs served on a bed of cabbage and onions. The second course was seared scallops served over hollandaise sauce and asparagus. We paired our second course with Dr. Heidemanns Bernkastel Kabinett. Our third course was a delightful piece of chicken schnitzel served bread dumplings topped with a beautiful creamy horseradish sauce. You can’t have an Oktoberfest themed meal without having a good German beer or two? We paired our schnitzel with Hacker Pschorr Weisse and a Hofbrau Dunkel. We finished up our culinary trip to Germany by having a cinnamon sugar pretzel served with fresh caramel and chocolate dip. We look forward to starting up dinner club again in January!
