This month's employee spotlight is on Jeff Pratt! Jeff is our general manager for our East Division office and is excited to work with you.

Hometown: Batesville, Indiana and Jacksonville, Florida

Hobbies: I enjoy traveling with my wife and two young children, golfing, fishing, and boating.

Favorite Marina Project: My favorite marina project was my first, Fisher Island Guest Marina in Miami, FL. The ownership group was great to work with in providing a design-build solution to a world-class facility. Because of the success of the superyacht marina project, we were awarded their residence marina project, a 98-slip marina completed earlier this year.

Why You Like Working for Bellingham: We have a fantastic team from the top down. Our people are great to work with in developing marina solutions to our projects. The history of Bellingham Marine’s involvement in building marinas around the world is one of the longest and simply the best, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.

This month's employee spotlight is on Steve Ryder! Steve is our project development manager for our Southeast, Caribbean, and Central/South America projects and is excited to work with you.

Hometown: Galveston and Jamaica Beach, Texas.

Hobbies: Boating, fishing, scalloping, and diving are big in the part of Florida where I live as the water in this part of the state is crystal clear with lots of life. Love being in our boat, on the water with my wife Terri, our boys, and now grandchildren!

Favorite Marina Project: Our division has built many of the finest marinas along the Gulf Coast, the Southeastern US, and the Caribbean. I have been fortunate to work with great customers and a great company of people at Bellingham. The biggest project that I have been involved with to date, is the new Town of Palm Beach Marina but picking a favorite from nearly 40 years of being in the marina business, is impossible as there are many.

Why You Like Working for Bellingham: Very simple, the people at BMI. We have the best people in the industry! I love going to work each day. The knowledge base in our company is incredible and figuring out a solution to a customer’s needs and desires is available with a phone call or email. I have been with BMI for 36 years and I am 26th in terms of service years with Bellingham. There are 25 folks in our company with longer careers, which is amazing to me for a company of our size. We are so fortunate to have current staff that have spent nearly 5 decades of their lives with Bellingham Marine. It is a fun place to work and I am very fortunate to have this career with Bellingham Marine.

Junior angler reels in 53-pound kingfish, wins Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Junior Angler Tournament The Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Junior Angler Tournament had 200 competitors hoping to catch the biggest kingfish for the chance to win a brand new fishing boat.

Blast from the past. Almost 20 years ago Bellingham built this curved dock in the basin prior to filling it with water. What a one of a kind project in sunny California! 🛥️🌊

OCEARCH, a global non-profit organization specializing in research and gathering ocean scientific data, recently announced its global headquarters locating to Jacksonville, FL. Known as the world's largest shark tagging research company, OCEARCH is expanding its footprint in the Bold City. Along with space for public education and meetings, the headquarters features fixed and floating dockage for research vessels and will expand to add a state-of-the-art marine life research laboratory and housing for research crews. Hometown: Jacksonville, FL.

Hobbies: Fishing, boating, scuba diving/spearfishing, coaching my sons youth baseball team, spending time with my family.

Favorite Marina Project: Rochester Sailing Foundation. Building a floating platform for the youth sailing program in Rochester, NY. It’s great to be a part of introducing the next generation of young sailors and boaters to the marine world.

Why you like working for Bellingham: I love working for Bellingham Marine because it gives me the opportunity to be involved in enhancing the waterfront experience for everyone.

Construction Progress: 📍Las Olas Marina, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A future expansion location for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the improvements to the Las Olas Marina will provide a luxury destination in the yachting capital of the world.

Hometown: Lynden, WA

Hobbies –Giving back my gifts and talents to my local church and Christian school, serving on my alma mater University Board of Trustees, family time, woodworking, yardwork, golf.

Favorite Marina Project: Port of Bandon, Oregon. The ability to achieve, what upfront seemed like diametrically opposed goals, into one master marina plan with a float system from a single vendor who achieves both goals has been a very satisfying accomplishment.

Why you like working for Bellingham: Bellingham Marine is a great place to work because of my ability to help clients get over their challenges and help them achieve their goals. I also enjoy being able to hear from and talk to peers within Bellingham Marine and understand their markets and challenges and how they have approached those challenges.
