Venture House Queens hosted an Open House/Garden Party last week in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month and to debut our new Media Center and Wellness Center! 🪴🎊

We were able to showcase the Clubhouse Model and highlight our recent developments to various community members in attendance. Tours were conducted, Hors d’œuvres were served, and games were played, all with live music from our very own Venture House Band!

We had a great time at our fourth annual Mental Health Awareness Day at Citi Field! Venture House was the featured nonprofit, as a community-based agency serving adults living with mental health conditions in NYC.

In recognition of their support and sponsorship, Venture House presented Archimed with the New York Mets Spirit Award 🏆 Thank you for all you do!

We were also super excited to meet Busta Rhymes, who threw the first pitch!

We are proud to have been recognized by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, being awarded the opportunity to develop additional Clubhouses in Brooklyn and the Bronx!

DOHMH acknowledges the critical material impact of the Clubhouse Model in supporting the recovery of people living with mental health conditions and providing solutions to isolation and loneliness, poverty, homelessness, criminal justice involvement, hospitalization, and other challenges that result from limited access to social supports, employment, housing, mental health care, and civic engagement.

Venture House Queens Member Eddie has a passion for graphic design and has created a workshop at VHQ to design custom VH apparel and giveaways! All of these items are made by Members and can be purchased at the Cocoa Bean Café at the Queens Clubhouse 🧢👕🥤

Venture House members and staff had a great time at the Clubhouse New York Spring Meet-Up! It was so great to connect with colleagues and members from other Clubhouses around NYC 🗽💙🧡

Tiffany involves herself in several units at the Clubhouse. She enjoys being ‘Chef of the Day’ in the culinary unit, utilizing her cooking and baking skills, as well as her creativity in the Media Center. Not only is Venture House her outlet, it’s her everlasting community!

VHSI members and staff marched in the first ever inclusive St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Staten Island hosted by Forest Ave BID! 🍀

It was a pleasure visiting Venture House last week and seeing the great work they are doing for our community. They are a not-for-profit community based mental health agency helping adults who are living with mental illness.
