Thankful to receive my belated 25 year award at the National YFC Conference this week. In 2 years I'll receive my 30th. It's been great serving with you all in Jamestown.

I'm so proud to know all these awesome folks who sacrifice so much of their time and resources to make the mission of YFC a success. Had our annual retreat today. Expecting great things in 2024. Also, we are pleased to introduce John Lynch as our new Chair, (back row on left) and our newest staff member Allison Roorda (front row 3rd from left). Thank you for all your support.

GHD 2023 Giving Hearts Day

Pastor Webber from St. Johns Lutheran Church sent me this picture a couple years ago. The building that YFC now calls TEEN CITY is being built at it's original location (where St. John's is now) The building was purchased in 1930 by Trinity Lutheran and moved to it's present location. This image was taken in August of 1900 from the court house. It was a black and white image, but photoshop recently released an A.I. filter that can selectively colorize images. So I tried it out on this one.

You may remember Lisa Whelchel in her role as Blair Warner in the hit NBC television show "The Facts of Life" which ran for nine years. Lisa is an international speaker who has toured with organizations like Women of Faith and Women of Joy. As an author, her first book, Creative Correction, released in October of 2000 has sold over 200,000 copies, not to mention over a dozen other books. Lisa participated in Season 25 of CBS's Survivor: Philippines. She tied for second place and won the Sprint Player of the Season, as awarded by the fans of the show. Acting has also been part of her life including roles in the Hallmark Channel's Original Movies, For Better or For Worse and Hearts of Spring. You can watch Lisa on MeTV's first original programming, Collector's Call. Lisa is also a certified CoActive Life Coach and focusing most of her time these days coming alongside others on their transformational journeys.

Lori Daniel was a beloved and valued member of our Youth For Christ team. Always ready to serve, share her faith in Jesus and hang out with kids. Oh ya, can't forget to say she was crazy fun too. We had lots of great times with Lori and she will be very missed.
