ALN NYC 2023 Recap Day 8 Day 8—our final day together. We made it back home safely to Alabama! We had a great trip together.
ALN NYC 2023 Recap Day 7 Day 7 flew by. We spent the day at Universal Studios together and had so much fun! Join us tomorrow for our final day as we travel back home to Alabama.
ALN NYC 2023 Recap Day 6 Day 6 has come to a close. We finished our time at NYC with Session 7 where we were graciously able to sit in the box seats. Royal Company led us in worship for the final time. They have been so great this week, just ask our teens! Eric Samuel Timm talked about how we need to continue to overflow with God’s love once we leave our time at NYC. He did a great job connecting each message. After Session 7, we left to eat lunch at the food court. Then, we traveled to Orlando, Florida. We went to Giordano’s Pizza and enjoyed some Chicago deep-dish pizza. After pizza, we were able to end the day by relaxing at the hotel swimming pool and playing volleyball and basketball. We are headed to Universal Studios tomorrow. Follow us along for more updates! ALN NYC 2023 Recap Day 5 Day 5 is complete. We began this morning with worship from Royal Company during Session 5. Jason Ballard brought the message and encouraged us to live out the love of Jesus in every part of our life. After Session 5, we headed to Gulf Coast Church in Bradenton, Florida for our MWO (Ministry with Others) project. One group washed and cleaned church windows, another group did some church landscaping, and two groups visited a local retirement center and painted residents' nails, and sang them songs. Our last group helped touch up a gazebo by painting. We loved giving back to the community and are grateful that Gulf Coast Church welcomed us into their home. Session 6 started with another amazing worship set. We then got to hear from General Superintendent Carla Sunberg. She talked about how we have to give everything to God. The night ended with a concert from Lecrae! The rumor is Daryl Randolph had the most fun, but that is something to ask him. Seriously though, Lecrae is hard to beat. Before we go to bed we want to give a special shoutout to our District Superintendent, Arnie Wilson. We are grateful for his love and commitment to our teens. We enjoyed hanging out with him today! Tomorrow we will be leaving Tampa. Follow along tomorrow for more updates as we leave Tampa.
ALN NYC 2023 Recap Day 4 Day 4 has come to an end! Today we began Session 3 with another amazing worship set by Royal Company. Then, we heard from Chris Simning who challenged us to give our chaos to God so that we may live life according to God’s purpose. We spent the afternoon having more fun in the Recreation Center. Our 4th Session tonight focused on intentional worship. Rich Villodas spoke about Holiness living and how our identity must be rooted in the love of God. The night ended with a concert by Blessing Offor and Zach Williams. We might be a little biased being from Alabama, but we give them a 10/10. Follow along tomorrow as we take you through another day at NYC 2023!
ALN NYC 2023 Recap Day 3 Today was another great day! We began our 1st Session this morning. Royal Company led us in worship and LaMorris Crawford brought the Word! After Session 1, we got to explore the Recreation Hall where there were so many fun things to do like visit the Nazarene college booths, zipline, play basketball...the list does go on and on. After checking out the Recreation Hall, we went through the Experience. This was a time for spiritual concentration and growth. In our 2nd Session this evening, we got to hear from Pastor Carly Bartlett who spoke the truth and brought words of hope. We ended the night with a concert by For King and Country. Let’s just say, they were amazing! Now, we are off to bed. We will check back with you all tomorrow! Good night!
ALN NYC 2023 Recap Day 2 We started today by gathering together for breakfast and had a quick district meeting. Shortly afterward, we headed to Clearwater Beach for some fun in the sun. Then, we came back to the hotel for some relaxation time to prepare for our Field Event hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University! We had so much fun eating, dancing, singing, and playing a variety of games! We are off to bed now. Join us tomorrow as we enter the arena and hear our first couple of speakers.
ALN NYC 2023 Recap Day 1 Today we ventured from Alabama to Tampa, Florida. It was a true travel day—sleeping on the bus, gas station shenanigans, and having fun together. We even got to eat dinner in The University of Florida’s dining hall and were welcomed into Tampa with fireworks! John Parrish is the best and we are so thankful for his organization in coordinating the best trip. We know that God has great things in store for us this upcoming week and we cannot wait to worship with 10,000 other people in Tampa, Florida. As for now, it is time for a good night’s sleep after a long, long day. We’ll see y’all tomorrow!
