Attention 9th grade parents!

Good afternoon! WE HAVE GREAT NEWS!

We are excited to announce the creation of a NEW page for our school district! We have been working for many months behind the scenes to get our current FB page to interact with other platforms and to do some of the things we need it to do. Upon the advice of Facebook technicians, we have created a new page and will close this one down.

During the next week or so, we will post information on the new page and share the post on this page. To be certain you keep up with the latest happenings, go like our new page named Pickens County Schools. You will see our new logo with the diamond P in the center and "Pickens County School District" encircling it.

9th Grade and New Student Orientation at PHS

Our PHS Anglers... 🎣 Practice is over for the 2023 Strike King Bassmaster High School National Championship. Tomorrow is an off day for prep and angler meeting. Thursday and Friday there will be a full field of 480 boats. Saturday will be cut to the top 12. We have 11 teams that will be representing Georgia BASS Nation High School Fishing. Join us in prayers for safety for all and that our teams have a great event. Seniors take this last one in and enjoy the ride. Let's add a High School National Championship to the Junior one.

What an AMAZING Back-to-School Kick-off Event! Here are a few photos of our PCSD team in action. Dr. Mary Hemphill's message was timely. Dr. Thomas' vision for our district is clear. THANK YOU to our community businesses that always support our work and answer the call to help. So many people lent a hand to make today a success and please know you, too, are appreciated.

We are excited to officially welcome our teachers back tomorrow! The district is hosting a countywide Back-to-School Kickoff with everyone in the district - transportation, school nutrition, central office, paraprofessionals, teachers, support staff - our TEAM. We have Dr. Mary Hemphill, The Limitless Lady and Leader, coming to get everyone energized and ready for an amazing year with our students! 💚🤍🖤

**If you can not pick up your schedule you can access schedules in IC and will receive a copy the 1st day of school.

Families that are eligible for free or reduced-price meals must apply to receive them, and all other students must pay full price for their meals. The free and reduced meal application for SY 2023-24 is now available for households to access. Complete only one application per household.

The application can be completed online at https://frapps.horizonsolana.com/PICC01. Paper applications are available on our school district website https://pickenscountyschools.org/ or you may request one from your school cafeteria manager.
