Even 'Hopper' wants to Come Home to Lindy!

On February 9th, residents of Stone Creek Point were in for a surprise when they spotted a kangaroo hopping around the pool area! Our local heroes from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Agriculture Unit sprang into action to ensure, 'Hopper' the roo, didn't make a splashy escape!

Alan, Carolyn, Brian Kroker, Frank Baer, Joyce Zamorski, Linda Barder, Travis Poston, and their significant others gathered to champion this vital cause. Alan's powerful presentation honored Dr. Sue Oleszewski, the visionary who founded Looking Out for Kids three decades ago. This was a highlight of the evening, paying tribute to her remarkable legacy.

Attached are the treasured moments captured during this remarkable event, filled with warmth and dedication.

Celebrating its mission to provide crucial vision and hearing healthcare services to underserved children, Looking Out for Kids proudly announced a whopping $140k raised! This incredible achievement promises a brighter future for countless deserving young lives in our community.

Fiesta Schoolyards is making recess great again!

This amazing nonprofit is transforming schoolyards in Philadelphia into dynamic play areas, giving kids the chance to make new memories and have fun. They've already completed 25% of their goal of renovating 100 schoolyards in 10 years.

Lindy Community Center Breaks Ground at Lion’s Park in Warrington. Located on the former site of Twin Oaks Day Camp in Warrington, Lions Pride Park features Lindy Communities Kids Mountain and the Toll Brothers Grove, completed in 2020, as well as a wetland habitat which will be completed later this year.

Annabel Gardens in Willow Grove nominated for prize! Named in loving memory for Annabel F. Lindy, the matriarch of the Lindy family. Jewish Federation’s newly opened senior housing community “Annabel Garden” in Willow Grove was nominated in February 2023 by Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the “Best Real Estate Deals of 2022” in Senior Affordable Housing!

We hope every had a great holiday. Some fun times at the Lindy Communities company holiday party!

Last month, Fiesta Schoolyards hosted a dedication event at John Hancock School to celebrate the new play amenities and community gathering area. There was food, music, speeches, and student entertainment. Thank you to Lindy residents for donating $5,166 to Fiesta Schoolyards, matched by the Lindy Foundation to $10,332, and making our impact possible!

Members of Lindy Communities was able to spend a Friday together and come across from all of properties in the Philadelphia area. We enjoyed food and conversation at the Elmwood Park Zoo. A couple of us we're brave enough to try the zipline.
