Stephanie and her family moved to their current residence in Flemington, NJ in 2020. She lives with her parents, older brother Nathaniel Joseph, Grandma Honor San Miguel Malig and their dog, Lucy. Most of her formative years though were spent in Maplewood, NJ where she attended Maplewood Middle School, and started her high school at Roselle Catholic High School before she transferred to North Hunterdon Regional High School upon their move.

As a 10th grader, she is very much involved in her studies and is a member of various school organizations such as the fencing and archery clubs. In her spare time, she takes pleasure in playing the ukulele, singing, listening to music, drawing, cooking and dabbling with make-up. Stephanie also volunteers as a Physical Therapist Assistant at the ProCare Physical Therapy Clinic.

Her future plans include, although not limited to, obtaining a degree in Psychology, specializing in Pediatric Psychiatric disorders. It has always been her dream to help children with mental limitations and incapacities. She is also interested in cosmetology, hair styling and nail art.

Stephanie is a “legacy” as far as being in the Santacruzan is concerned. Her Grandmother Honor San Miguel Malig was the Reyna Emperatriz in 2007, her oldest cousin Anjelica Aileen Malig Baquiran was Reyna Elena I in 2006 and her other cousin, Kirstie-Amber Malig Baquiran was Reyna Elena I in 2014. Stephanie has participated as a sagala since she was a little girl and being this year’s Reyna Elena I will be the culmination of her Santacruzan journey.
