AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM AMY AND KEVIN
When we decided to open EveryBody Zen Yoga & Fitness in the midst of the pandemic, we had a dream of not only bringing yoga to Johns Island, but also creating a community - a space where everybody felt they had a place and were welcome no matter what walk of life, age, fitness level, or anything else. We are so beyond proud of what EveryBody Zen has become. It is not just a yoga studio, but has become a space for people to feel at home and is a community of amazing people. As many of you know, we spend alot of time away and are also going to be relocating. One thing the studio needs and deserves are owners who are present. Although it was a difficult decision to make, it is also with excitement that we are announcing that the studio will have new ownership as of October 1. It was very, very important to us to see the studio not only remain the amazing place is, but also have the opportunity to thrive, and that is exactly what is going to happen.
Kristin Bennett and Jen Jordan will be taking over ownership of EveryBody Zen as of October 1 and we couldn't be more excited! They are both amazing people and teachers and exactly what the studio and community needs to grow!
As far as the transition is concerned, please note the below:
** All current memberships and class packs, and anything purchased during the month of September will be rolling over. They will not change and will still be active.
** Prices will not be changing with the transition.
** Expect to see some re-branding over the next month on social media, website, etc. as we slowly transition.
We are here for any questions you may have. As we mentioned, we are unbelievably excited to see Kristin and Jen taking over and to witness the studio thrive and the community grow!

WellnessLiving, our reservation platform, is having a lot of issues today due to a software update. If you have problems signing up, please come to class anyway and we'll get it sorted later! Thank you for understanding!
As many of you know, work has been done on our building for a few months. It is at a point where the workers cannot schedule around our class times and finish the building. We want classes to be enjoyable and peaceful, and for every experience to be a wonderful one. For this reason, we will be on a limited schedule from July 1 - July 19.
Changes below:
** There will be NO classes before 12:15pm Monday - Friday July 1 - July 19
** We are working to add in 12:15pm Barre classes Tuesday and Thursday. Stay tuned for an announcement.
** 12:15pm, 7pm, and weekend classes remain the same as normal.
For any students on unlimited passes that this temporary schedule does not work for, we can pause your membership during this time. Please email us directly at [email protected] if you wish to do so.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and always want the experience to be amazing at the studio. We look forward to the work being finished on the building, and us having peaceful and enjoyable classes!
**New Teacher** Welcome Jen to our Everybody Zen staff!
Hi! 🙋🏽♀️ I’m Jen Jordan! I am an RYT 200 Yoga Teacher who’s been practicing for over 15 years. In my class, everybody is encouraged to take up space—to try, to fall, to laugh, to cry, to challenge themselves, to do what’s best for them and take ownership of their bodies and minds. During the practice, I’m your biggest hype girl and use neuroscience to train your brain to continue the hype in life outside of the studio.
If you love moving, breathing and having fun to good music—this class is for you!

EVERYBODY ZEN TEACHER SPOTLIGHT!
SARA TUMEY
j.tumey is a certified Yoga Therapist, a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and a Yoga Teacher Trainer. Sara is a bit of an anatomy geek and teaches functional movement through a biomechanics and trauma sensitive lens. Sara enjoys providing the fundamentals and foundations for students to explore, be curious and all of this is taught with a bit of fun. Sara’s classes are challenging, as she empowers students to try new things.
When asked why she teaches yoga, Sara says "I teach yoga to empower confidence. Confidence in action. Confidence to be truthful to oneself. Confidence to be honest with oneself and build integrity. Become empowered with the strength to hold steady in what you believe is true, good and beautiful."
Sara’s yoga path started in New York City, where she was first a student and then went on to become a yoga teacher and yoga therapist. Certifications held include C-IAYT, ERYT-500, Trauma Informed, Prenatal, Y12SR, Warriors at Ease, and Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy.
While not teaching yoga, you can find Sara spending time with her family and amazing dog, Gatsby. Sara loves to travel as well, and either attends or leads yoga retreats in Italy at least once a year (have passport, will travel!).

Pigeon pose… Surrender, find your breath, and sink into your mat. Knowing that your asana will feel, and look different each and every practice. Showing up, is the hardest part. It’s checking in and checking out, as we breathe through the difficult challenges.
WEDNESDAY 5:30PM KUNDALINI STARTING MARCH 6!!
Kundalini Yoga is a form of yoga that involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses with the goal to activate your Kundalini energy (energy said to be at the base of your spine). In doing so, it is believed to help balance all chakras.
Join Joanne Barry starting March 6 for this wonderful addition! And then, you can even stay for the 7:15pm YIN for a double dose of ZEN!

Incredible Foundational Flow Workshop with Holly Sunday! No matter a students level, coming back to the basics creates a strong practice, and the students brought the strength!!
