We have been lied to for years: dirty hair is not the best for styling.

I specifically instruct all my clients to arrive to their appointments with CLEAN and completely DRY hair.

Why? Dirty hair is heavy from oil and doesn’t hold a curl. It’s frustrating and makes it hard to achieve your desired look.

When you have clean hair:
-products will stick
-curls will stay
-it’s easier to manipulate and create volume
-it’s usually smoother and less prone to frizz

I was so happy with my hair and make up. Haley did a great job of listening to exactly what I wanted. I would definitely use her again for another event.“

This one means a lot because I was unable to do a trial with Colleen before hand because she was from out of town. It was also my first time working at the ⛳️

Wedding day hair prep: Blow out vs Silk Press💆‍♀️

Before the big day, you might be considering a visit to the salon for either a blow out or silk press. Both of these techniques aim to smooth the hair and create a polished canvas for wedding day. Depending on your hair type and texture, one may work better for you than the other.

Blow out
- for volume, smoothness, and body
- Great for fine to medium hair, tames frizz
- Versatile: you can get a straight look or bouncy curls
- A great base for all wedding styles

Silk press
- For shine, smoothness, sleeker look
- Great for curly, coily, thicker hair
- Smooths out natural textures without chemical relaxers
- A great base for sleek ponytails and updos as well as waves and softer curls post-treatment

Beautiful bride Kenli got a silk press for her natural hair before her big day, which was a perfect base for her slick back waves💕
