The Summer Of Deals Is Here!!!

How to make your toner last longer ⬇️

1. Avoid high heat on your hot irons and when blowdrying. High heat can cause the toner to strip away from your hair faster, leaving behind a brassy yellow tone, especially the lighter your hair is.

2. Use a heat protectant! I know, I know, you've probably heard it before and think you could just skip it, but it will only help you in the long run! Not only will using a heat protectant help your toner last longer, but it will also help with frizz caused by heat damage! Spray it in after you've washed your hair, and you won't have to worry about it again until your next wash!

3. Using a heat protectant isn't just for when you're using hot irons, especially in the summer. The sun has just as much effect on your toner and hair as usingbhest does! Be mindful when you're going to be out in the sun for a long period of time. You should be using a UV protectant on your hair just like you would a sunscreen to keep your skin from burning.

4. Avoid steaming hot water on your hair. I get it. A boiling hot shower is sometimes the best feeling, but try to avoid putting your head under the hot water for prolonged periods of time. If you forget, it's okay! Once or twice won't strip it all out. Just try to use cooler water afterward. Cooler water will help seal the cuticle, protecting the toner, just like it seals the pores in your skin.

5. Don't use harsh shampoos like clarifying or drugstore products. Using good quality, moisturizing, or color protecting products for your entire hair routine will help protect your color. Non-professional products may be convenient and cheaper, but why spend money getting your hair done just for it to fade quicker due to lower quality products?

6. Keep the moisture in your hair by using a leave-in conditioner (and go one step further by using a deep conditioner mask once or twice a month). Moisturized hair keeps the cuticle sealed and healthy. Healthy hair will always retain color better than dry or damaged hair.

BONUS TIP: For blonde hair, especially blonde extensions, be careful with spray sunscreens and chlorine. Spray sunscreen can turn your hair pink, and chlorine can turn your hair green!

After much time and thought, I have decided to shift my days and hours of operation for the summer.

I will be taking weekends off from now until the end of summer. But don't worry! I have extended my weekday hours to accommodate after-work schedules!

If you currently have an appointment scheduled on a weekend, your appointment is still confirmed!! I will not be moving any current appointments!

Summer is a beautiful, but fleeting time of year, and I would like to make the most of it by spending time with my family and loved ones, as I hope you will too!

I understand this schedule change may not work for some, and I promise to be as accommodating as possible!!

So, if you can not find an appointment day or time that suits your schedule, please either reach out to me via text (607-206-2669) or add yourself to my waitlist (via elizabethhendrickson.glossgenius.com).

We installed 1 row of 20" Luxury Line and 1 row of 16" Narrow Edge today, after filling and coloring her hair to her desired shade.

We then rooted her extensions with and toned the ends with in the shade "Pavement", mixed with Miracle Mask.

It was a long day, but we are so happy with the results. Congrats on your graduation this Friday, and thank you for trusting me with this big change ❤️

First Haircuts can be scary for some little ones...

Even 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on can cause confusion and even panic. A new place, new people, new sounds, having to sit still for longer than they might want.

It's hectic, and I know for some parents it may seem easier to just avoid haircuts until they're older.

However, I'm my experience. The sooner you're able to introduce your young ones to all the new experiences that haircuts offer, the quicker they understand that it's not a bad thing.

The older they are, the more appointments it may take to get used to the sound of clippers, or the feeling of a cape, the feeling of a comb in their hair.

When you're ready to schedule your child's first haircuts and so on, just know that you will not be rushed.

We will take the time to show your child exactly what is happening, step by step. Making sure they can feel the clippers to know they just tickle, not hurt. To hear what they sound like.

Holding a comb or a clip and "helping" with their haircut, sitting or standing where they want, holding the spray bottle.

The more fun we can make the experience for them, the more excited they will be to come in.
