Spread the word that someone is once again stealing catalytic converters in the area... last night it was off Pearl Street

ATTENTION NEIGHBORS:
There is an older model CRV (blue) with VT license plates that has been tearing up and down Railroad Street and Clark Avenue at high speeds today. It is a car full of younger (17-22?) men. They seem to just be "joy riding" but it's not creating joy for those of us with pets and kids that live on these streets. I *think* the driver lives on River Road West. He has dark hair, thin frame. There is a blond hair passenger and at least one other young man in the back.
I called the sheriff's department about this reckless driving and turns out there is a vehicle that matches that description that was stolen a few days ago!! Deputy Costa was very grateful to get this information that they could not have otherwise gotten without the eyes and ears of the community. If you see this vehicle PLEASE call the Sheriff's Department. They are on the lookout too.

A BIG takeaway from last night's community meeting with the LCSD was if you "see something, say something." Every piece of info- big or small- could be the missing puzzle piece to a case and the Sheriff's Department really depends on the help of grassroots efforts like ours!

What's everyone thinking about Halloween this year? Anyone planning on handing out candy? Or leaving a bowl of treats out front? Can we safely distribute and celebrate for our kiddos?

Anyone missing a cubby kitty with half an ear? Poor thing was under my porch earlier today. Definitely been in a scrap or 2... one ear completely gone 😩
