We are open 12-10pm this Labor Day

Last night was likely Lily Bryson’s last time wearing the Walt’s apron. Lily joined Walt’s her sophomore year at JT Central in 2018 and has spent every summer greeting the area residents with a smile and her cheerful personality.

A couple years after joining Walt’s, Lily gave a commencement speech at the JT Central graduation. She then moved on to Milikin University to peruse her true calling, acting & singing. As a theatre major, Lily has starred in multiple productions each year, including fitting in summer productions while she worked.

Lily has been a true anchor to Walt’s, not only is she a character, she posses much character. An intelligent, dependable, and trustworthy young women, Lily is a true triple threat. Almost forgot…entertaining. Lily’s love of music and singing shocked everyone at first, as we were not prepared to hear someone singing the theme song to the musical “Oklahoma” as she made a banana split. However, everyone realized she was really good, and now multiple crew members have been heard singing in the shop. It was nice to see a high school/college kid confident enough step out of the norms and do something nobody else is doing without fear of peer criticism or sticking out, Lily understandably so, has self-confidence.

I’m not sure if Lily will be on a sitcom, in the movies or wind-up in a Broadway production, it doesn’t matter which route her career takes her, she will be a success and smile on every part of the journey!

Thank you Lily Bryson! Thanks for spending your high school and college summers with us. Walt’s is a better place because of young adults like yourself. You brought character, integrity, charm, personality, and maturity to the shop every day you worked, and we appreciate your contribution greatly.

Your parents should be proud (I know they are) of the people you and Esme are, a job well done to your parents!
