💧Here we have a BEFORE and AFTER picture of one of my client’s second PLATINUM HYDRAFACIAL treatment today. As you can see the, the results show a huge improvement smoothing any FINE LINES and WRINKLES on the forehead and around the eye area. ✨ Here is some very useful information on how to establish a proper at home skin care routine, for those of you in need:

💛 When buying skin care products, it’s important to look for products designed for your specific skin type. This can be tricky at times since many people have combination skin, meaning there are different areas of the face their own specific needs.

💛 For example, someone may have an oily forehead, nose and chin area, but yet also experience dryness on the cheeks. This is why customizing your own unique regimen is so vital.

💛 If you are someone who experiences a feeling of tightness all over the face throughout the day, and you often notice a “dullness” in your complexion, this means you have predominantly dry skin. Products with Hyaluronic Acid are great for establishing proper hydration.

💛 If you tend to be “shiny” on the forehead, nose and chin throughout the day or by the end of the day, and also experience back heads on the nose, you have an oily skin type. Water based products, especially water based moisturizers are a great option for you. Clay and charcoal masks are a great way to absorb excess oils as well. Masks should be used once a week in addition to your routine regimen.

💛 If you easily get “rosy” on the cheeks, nose or forehead with most skin care products, this means you have a sensitive skin type. Products containing Aloe, chamomile, green tea and calendula are incredible for calming the skin.

🌿 Benefits of Vitamin C on the Skin 🌿

🍊Vitamin C is rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants protect healthy skin cells by “giving” these free radicals an electron, rendering them harmless. What this means is that this prevents oxidative damage on the skin.

🍊Vitamin C is well known for boosting collagen production through the process of collagen synthesis. In fact, collagen synthesis can’t happen without vitamin C because it is vital to the process. An amazing byproduct of this is an overall tightening effect that you will feel on the skin as a result.

🍊Vitamin C acts as an anti-inflammatory agent through its antioxidant capacity. This means it soothes your skin and can reduce puffiness. Because of this, it also reduces the appearance of under-eye circles. Vitamin C serums can help smooth out fine lines by plumping and hydrating the under-eye area.

🍊Vitamin C hydrates the skin. Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, another vitamin C derivative used in skin care, has been proven to have a hydrating effect on the skin. It prevents Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL).

Here’s how:

🍃 Vitamin C serum is typically applied once or twice per day. A good rule of thumb is to cleanse, tone, apply vitamin C serum, and then moisturize. Be sure to apply skin care products with clean hands.
It can be safely used with other active ingredients, although using alongside products containing niacinamide may make vitamin C less effective.
