Crepes are coming! We've added 20 seats to the tasting room this year to accommodate larger parties, so there is plenty of space for a glass of wine or cider after grabbing your sweet or savory crepe from Crepes by the Lakes - Food Truck this Wednesday evening. See you then!

This Tuesday (7/16), we’re hosting another Sip & Shop event in our barrel room! Come enjoy some of our wine and ciders while shopping the pop-up shop from So Fetch Boutique from 5-7:30 pm. Jewelry, purses, clothing, and of course wine will all be available for purchase.

We’re less than a week away from our next wine club box release on Wed, July 17! Club members will be able to pick up their box that day along with enjoying Crepes by The Lakes food truck that evening. Two of the wines in this release are brand new wines - Petillant Chardonnay and Semi-Sweet Pinot Grigio. These are exclusive releases for our wine club members for the first few weeks of their release. This early access is one of the many benefits of our wine or wine & cider club that just launched this year. Other benefits include:

- 10% off all wine and merch in the tasting room

It's the middle of summer and that makes it a great time to reach for a sweet fruit wine! Our July wines of the month fit the bill.

JUST PEACHY | 8% RS | A white wine with the added flavor of peaches for an aroma and taste explosion of summer's best fruit. Fans of sweet whites, like Moscato, will love this one. (We also have this wine available in 12 oz. cans just for the summer, but this promotion is strictly for the bottles). Was $16, NOW $13.

CHERRY RED | 9.4% RS | Sweet red wine made exclusively from Michigan-grown Balaton cherries. Velvety smooth with rich dark cherry notes followed by a subtle baking spice finish. Was $14, NOW $11

Semifreddo is visiting again from Grand Rapids this week to serve up amazing artisan baguette sandwiches and their own, from-scratch ice cream. Catch their food truck at the winery tasting room from 5-7:30 pm on Wednesday (7/10). Pair it with a glass or wine or cider for a most enjoyable evening out!

On this weekend, we hope you got to enjoy some American food and fun! 🇺🇸 🎆 It had us reminiscing on our company outing last month, where we enjoyed America’s pasttime. We took our team from Texas Corners Brewing Company and Lawton Ridge Winery to a Kalamazoo Growlers game. It was a great chance to kick back and enjoy some time together not at work.

Fun fact: Lawton Ridge Winery is the wine that’s available at Kalamazoo Growlers baseball games and has been for many years. We know it’s usually baseball and beer that typically go together, but they have several great wine selections to cool down with on a hot game day or for those seeking alternatives to beer. Cheers to that and play ball! ⚾️

Happy Independence Day! We will be closed on Thursday for the holiday, but otherwise we will be open our normal hours this week. Wednesday (7/3) night we have Floatin' Franks coming with specialty wine brats, hot dogs, and smash burgers from 5-7:30 pm. Kick off your holiday weekend with us tonight. Have fun and be safe! This summer we partnered with local, fifth generation family farm at Bailey's Meats to bring you red and white wine brats! You can grab these delicious brats infused with our wine at their store on South 8th St, Texas Township Farmers' Market, or better yet, we’re serving them up as a dinner feature all this week over at Texas Corners Brewing Company!

What's more American on the 4th of July than eating hot dogs and hamburgers?! We're welcoming Floatin' Franks to the winery this Wednesday, July 3 from 5-7:30 pm. Pair your dog or burger with our locally crafted wine or cider for a pleasant evening out. You can snag some cans of Just Peachy or our hard ciders to take home and enjoy on the holiday too. (P.S. - we will be closed on Thursday, July 4th.)

NEW CIDER ALERT! 🚨 🍏 🍺 ‼️ Double Gold is our latest draft cider exclusively available at our winery location on Stadium Drive. This cider is crafted from a 50-50 blend of GoldRush and Golden Russet apples. This heritage blend is well balanced between sweetness and acidity, medium body, and a crisp apple finish.

It's been a while since we've had BBQ down at the winery! We're welcoming Smoked Down BBQ this Wednesday (6/26) for our food truck offering from 5-7:30 pm. They'll be serving up some mouthwatering brisket and pulled pork in either mac & cheese or sandwich form! We're also hosting the Michigan Grape Society, a group of grape growers and winemakers, so it'll be a busy evening. Don't be late!

Unfortunately, with the excessive heat, Crepes by the Lakes @ LRW is cancelled tonight. We apologize as we know many were looking forward to this one!

Today we had the honor of hosting international university students from Hogeschool VIVES in Belgium! 🇧🇪 These agriculture and agro-industry students are finishing up their three year college education with a 12 day tour of various agricultural related sites and tourist spots in Chicago, Michigan, and New York. After a tour of our family farm - Schultz Fruitridge Farms in Mattawan - they came for lunch to Texas Corners Brewing Company - where we strive to craft our menu from locally grown and raised ingredients. Then they went on to Lawton Ridge Winery where we gave a tour of the winery and shared a brief wine tasting. We shared our family’s story from nearly 75 years of fruit farming, expanding to the brewery and restaurant in 2015, and now to a winery sourcing locally grown grapes. We are happy to share our passion for food, drink, and agriculture with not only our community, but with people from around the world. They even came prepared and gifted us a bottle of fine Belgian beer. It was a pleasure hosting this great group of students across our family businesses today!

How could we have forgotten to post about our June wines of the month?! All June we are featuring two of our 2022 Rieslings, as we are making way for our 2023 vintages to be released. Both wines drink well solo or pair well with a variety of light summer fare like salads, seafoods, and light pastas.

DRY RIESLING | 0.9% RS | Estate grown dry Riesling with prominent notes of grapefruit, rose petal, and mineralty. Was $20, Now $17 per bottle.

SEMI-SWEET RIESLING | 2% RS | Estate grown semi-sweet Riesling with juicy notes of peach, white grape, and melon. Was $17, Now $14.

They will be on sale through June at the tasting room!

Rosé all day baby! Today's National Rosé Day which means its a great time to pick up a bottle of our Rosé or Petillant (sparkling) Rosé today at either the Texas Township Farmers' Market or Kalamazoo Farmers Market this morning. You can also head out to the tasting room at 8456 Stadium Drive between 12-6 pm. Both rosés are great summer sippers and go with a variety of foods including popular summer fare like charcuterie, salads, picnic fare and seafood.

Ruby's Fiesta is back this Wednesday (6/5), rain or shine! She will be brining her fiesta with her signature puffy tacos, chicken flautas, rice bowl, and nacho bowl. Come join us and sip on on glass of wine or cider from 5-7:30 pm Wednesday.

Did you know Lawton Ridge Winery is the exclusive wine sponsor for the Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball Team, and has been for many years?! We’re taking our team from the winery and Texas Corners Brewing Company for a fun day at the ballpark on Sunday, June 2! As a result, we will be CLOSED at the tasting room on Stadium Drive. We’re sorry for any inconvenience!

Psst…it’s Michigan strawberry season and we have a very small batch of Strawberry Cider on draft at both the pub and winery. We will be cooking with some fresh strawberries soon too. Get it before it’s gone! 🍓 🍻

We are open Sunday but will be closed Monday at the winery tasting room for Memorial Day. May we remember and honor the veterans who gave their all for our nation.

Back-to-back wine holidays? Sounds like this is our week! Today is national Pinot Grigio day and do we have one of you! Ours is a classic dry Pinot Grigio with notes of apple and apricot. This classic white wine staple will pair well with any summer fare like chicken, salads, seafood, and light pasta dishes.

Give your mother the gift of great wine this weekend! We are open normal hours from 12-6 pm this Friday and Saturday for tastings or grabbing wine bottles for gifts. We will be CLOSED on Sunday for Mother's Day so the mothers on our staff (and those who have mothers) can spend time with those they love or whatever else they want to do. They deserve it!

Our food truck event is cancelled tonight. There was significant storm damage in the area last night, including the neighborhood where Chef Eric / Top Shelf is located.
