Dr. Anderson (with the help of Dr. Ray) made history at Eagle last week by successfully placing a feeding tube in Javier, the FIFTY-FIVE year old tortoise. Pretty cool!!
He came in for his recheck this morning and is still on the mend, but feeling a lot better! 🐢
Good morning from your crew at Tiffany! Sometimes we unintentionally coordinate our scrub colors… Bring your pets to see us! Call to make an appointment or come in as a walk-in between 8-5!! 🐾
Did you know we start seeing heatstrokes this time of the year? Check out some of our tips below about the symptoms of heatstroke and prevention tips:
-Never leave your pet unattended in a car
-When hot/humid, keep your pet’s time outdoors limited
-Keep your pet hydrated
-Ensure your pet has ventilation and a cool environment
-Dogs with short noses are at higher risk due to their condensed facial anatomy and restricted ability to cool themselves
-If any signs of heat stroke appear, contact our team immediately.
Please help us spread awareness by tagging your pet parent friends in the comments and share this post!
Today we honor all of the fallen soldiers who gave the utimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. 🇺🇸

Congratulations to our technicians, Letty and Rachel, who graduated from the Maple Woods Veterinary Technology program!! This past weekend they took their veterinary technician oath, pledging themselves to veterinary medicine. We are so proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them grow as RVTs!!
Hopping into the weekend with Biscuit Nunez and our assistant Cara! 🐰
If it seems like your pet has been in the back of the hospital for a long time during their visit, don’t worry! Treatment area can be a little scary. A good portion of the time we spend in the back is working to gain their trust and bonding. One of our technicians caught this photo of Ali comforting a nervous patient yesterday. No matter how slowly it may take, we prioritize spending this time so that our patients have better experiences! 🐾
Happy Mother’s Day from your friends at Eagle!!🌷🐾

April is Heartworm Prevention Month!
Heartworm disease is a serious & potentially fatal disease in pets all over the United States. Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitos & can cause congestive heart failure & death if left untreated.
It takes 6-7 months for microfilaria (baby heartworms) to develop into adults within a pet’s blood stream.
Heartworms can be risky to treat once they’ve reached the adult stage. Luckily they can be easily prevented with either yearly injection or monthly oral preventions!
Contact Eagle Animal Hospital if you have any questions regarding heartworm disease or preventative options that best fit your pet’s lifestyle.
Meet Zoey King 🎀
It was hard not to fall in love with this sweet girl during her first puppy visit.
As Dr. Schaefer would say… Diagnosis: Perfect Patient!
It’s National Pet Day! It’s been proven that having a pet can help decrease your blood pressure, stress, anxiety, feelings of loneliness, and improve overall heart health!
That’s just plain science! 🔬🧬
We here at Eagle Animal Hospital are grateful to those of you that entrust us with the care of your pets. We hope to help keep them safe & healthy so they can continue to bring your families joy every day!
