If anyone has been to Hillcrest Thrift on 64th lately and perhaps brought home an throw sized afghan in the colors below, please message me. It was made for me by my mother when I was little, and I think it was accidentally donated in the last few months, as I thought I had put it up in the trunk, but it wasn't there. It has always resided at the foot of my bed in the winter and in the trunk in the summer. I am heartsick over losing it, and any help would be very appreciated. Reward offered.

I'm in serious like of this piece now! After 18 hours of labor, this beautiful gentleman's dresser is getting delivered tomorrow!
My special aged oak stain, multiple coats of hand rubbed tung oil finish, and outsides and insides of drawers are all waxed.
I'm sure you noticed there are no drawer pulls... Well... I ordered them, they came, they were wrong. So, when I deliver tomorrow, the client will get to choose bail pulls that I will order and have shipped to them.

Since the gentleman's dresser has to dry 24 hours between finish coats, I decided to start another project that's been hanging around my garage and needs to be done. Honestly, I need to get all the project pieces done so that I can reclaim my garage space!
4 foot round oak pedestal table with 2 leaves. I'm thinking I'll maybe paint the base, and finish the top. What color combinations would you like to see for it?

Update on the gentleman's dresser! It got finish sanded by hand, stained by hand with a rag and a custom stain, and one coat of hand rubbed tung oil finish is applied. It's looking beautiful! Total time into this one is now just about 16 hours.

When the details of a piece take All the sanding tools you have, and then some. Lots of hand sanding elbow grease!

Next project is in the works! This one is antique white oak. Probably a catalog piece from JC Penney or Sears or Montgomery Wards, and from the early 1900's. It was previously painted green, and whoever stripped that did a poor job of both paint removal and finishing. This one will be refinished and NOT painted, as this one is already spoken for!

From an old, damaged finish to a beautiful modern farmhouse storage piece, with a ton of storage. It was a lot of work, but the finial result was worth it! It's now ready for a new home. Local pickup in Kansas City.
