🎶 Throughout the year, Petite and Montessouri students have been studying music in a variety of ways. They’ve studied jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington, they’ve learned music theory such as rhythm and tempo and they’ve also learned different genres of music such as Jazz, Opera, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Classical music. 🎼 The conductor is the person who stands in front of a symphony orchestra and helps lead a large group of musicians in playing in time together. Throughout the year students have witnessed the conductor at work. (In our experiences the conductor has been an animated squirrel; another time an animated grumpy cow!) But people can be conductors too, so we gave it a try ourselves! 🎵Here are students helping leading symphonic orchestras while inspired by professional conductors encouraging the musicians to play with feeling and a lot of heart. 💜 Caption, video and teaching excellence by Jenna Bauer
💜Claire Evans' class created this video to explain the Sion Story. Watch to learn about Sion and how it came to Kansas City!🤩
