Long-neglected gravestones at Kansas City's oldest public cemetery are getting a facelift Kansas City’s historic Union Cemetery, founded in 1857, serves as the final resting place for more than 55,000 people, including many early pioneers of Westport. A group of volunteers has cleaned more than 300 grave markers there as a way of learning about and connecting with local history.

Our limited hunter green crew neck sweatshirts have arrived! Available at the cottage! Xs-4xl available, sizes are limited and once they're gone, they're gone for the season. These will also be available during Electric Poe at our merch table. *Edit/update* all mediums have been sold!

We have such sights to show you! Our updated vendor list for this Saturday's Fall Bazaar!! An incredible list of artists that are offering an array of products. will have his forge there to demonstrate blacksmithing, does on the spot print pressing, and will be there serving up delicious food! And that's only to name a few. We hope to see you there 10am-2pm

Something a little new! Meet our new friend, Walt by the vault! He will be accompanying our volunteer, and local school librarian, Savannah, for read alongs for the kiddos by our holding vault during the Fall Bazaar.

During the Fall Bazaar we'll have our guided history tours available! Join one of our guides on a trip through Kansas City history and visit the gravesites of quite a few of the founding members.

First off a HUGE thank you to everyone that came out yesterday to Dog Days of Summer!! It was such a great time!
Before our busy fall season kicks off a few of our volunteers are taking vacations. So our office hours will be a bit different this week.
Keep an eye our for our list of vendors for the Fall Bazaar on October 5th, Electric Poe announcements, history tours, and gravestone cleaning classes coming up!

Hello friends! A few reminders and exciting updates!!
During our Dog Days of Summer event tomorrow the gates will be closed until after the event is over at 2pm.

We're so thrilled to be offering guided history tours at 11am and 1pm! Tours will have a sign in sheet at the welcome table and are a $10 donation per person (pups can join for free 🐕)

Lastly, we've seen an increase in dogs off leash. Please have your dog on leash while in the cemetery. We have a myriad of wild animals, people, and other dogs around. We have to work together to keep each other safe and happy.
