Why is Avila University's next-level partnership with KC Scholars so important? Avila senior Christian Hernandez can tell you. "Not only do they cover the financial aspect of it (college), but they're a great support system, they have great resources, and they'll walk you through each step of the way. So any challenges you may encounter, they are really there for you." "When we heard about the 900 students that are KC Scholars qualified, but can't go to college because of funding restrictions, we thought, we need to step up as the institution of access in Kansas City," said Avila University Executive Vice President Alexandra Adams, Ed.D. "And that's what we're doing in this next level of partnership with KC Scholars." Over the next eight years, Avila is committing $110 million in scholarships, and KC Scholars will contribute $20 million so that up to 800 students can attend Avila with full tuition scholarships.
