As campus quiets down, we’re enjoying a chance to reflect on our commencement ceremonies this past weekend. One of the many highlights included showcasing one of our core values by demonstrating what it means to “serve without distinction.”

We appreciated the opportunity to welcome two prominent political figures – from both sides of the aisle – to deliver insightful remarks to our graduates: Representative Emanuel Cleaver II, now serving his ninth term representing Missouri's Fifth Congressional District, and Jay Ashcroft, Missouri’s 40th Secretary of State. Thank you both for your leadership, for inspiring our students through your service, and for illustrating one of the many traits that sets Avila apart.
